I appreciate that in a previous thread there was discussion of how to change a password, but it involved doing it via motorsport.com. However it is not clear how that would work if one did not already have an account at motorsport.com.

I wish to sign in on a new device; what I thought was my password does not seem to work, and thus I am stumped as to how to create the new access. Obvs changing one's password on all kinds of other sites is normally a straightforward process, but it seems not to be here.

Could someone please advise me on how to sign in if one cannot remember one's password?

Thanks in advance.

Does the machine that you currently use, not have the password saved? The password can be changed in "edit my profile" but you need to know the current one.

Also, be sure that you are using the e mail that you used to register originally. If you are using a different e mail it wont accept the log in. The e mail that you originally registered with is in your profile. If the password is still not accepted, click on "forgotten my password and you will get an automated return with either your password or a temporary one which you can change in your profile. Dependent on which browser you are using, check the password manager.

Thank you for the suggestions. The machine I am using has memorised the password but I wanted to log in from a different device and did not know the password for doing that.

I was trying what I thought was the password but the variations I was using kept getting rejected. A few hours ago I tried one of those variations again and it worked. I am guessing that my previous series of attempts (about 4 or 5) just hit a limit for failed attempts, but instead of saying that there was a limit it kept giving the message the inputs were incorrect.

Thanks again.
