Plenty of smart-aleck comments in the comments about the cars being worthless.

I think they're wrong and the cars are worth a great deal.

Some interesting comments about the 'urban explorer' who found and photographed them.

I think he broke some laws.

Interesting that the cars on the RHS of the photo lack the essential ingredient - a thick layer of dust.  Maybe someone has started to pick them over, or the owner is very short-sighted and can only see one or two.

Don't be fooled, there is probably scarcely enough steel to make up one complete floor-pan amongst the whole lot of them!

I think "worth a great deal" is probably pushing it. None of the cars I can see are limited production or rare. It's a nice find, but the newspaper article is a tad OTT.

There's a couple of YouTube videos about this if anyone is interested to learn more.

100 or so cars with a total guesstimated value of £1m would be £10k oer car.  Some of these (Jag Mk2s for instance) might make that as barn-find projects, but most would be more likely to net £2 or 3k.   Exaggeration is part of this sort of reportage!

I remain mystified why people collect old cars in bulk and then leave them to rot like this.  It should be made a criminal offence!

There was an auction earlier this year in England with a pile of rusted out junkers that made stupid money. The there was some very rundown but not out Bristols and AC. and a few E Typews. They all made about 5 times what I considered thjey were worth,, even a Landrover that was broken in half made silly money for scrap metal

As long as the chassis plate is intact and recoverable then some of the more desirable cars will always be worth more than you might think. It's the identity the buyer wants, anything else recoverable is a bonus. It's why some auction houses remove the chassis plate from such cars prior to general viewing only passing it on to the buyer once the car's paid for.

Funnily a few days ago there was a much talked-about barn find in Spain. You can watch it, in Spanish, in the video below:

Tens of vehicles but, most surprisingly, a lot of material from Hispano-Suiza and Pegaso —including original drawings of the Pegaso Z102 (see 31h40).
