In line with F1's current points system, points will be awarded as follows:
Driver finishes in the position you guessed 25 points
Driver finishes 1 off your guess 18 points
Driver finishes 2 off your guess 15 points
Driver finishes 3 off your guess 12 points
Driver finishes 4 off your guess 10 points
Driver finishes 5 off your guess 8 points
Driver finishes 6 off your guess 6 points
Driver finishes 7 off your guess 4 points
Driver finishes 8 off your guess 2 points
Driver finishes 9 off your guess 1 point
Driver must be classified for you to receive points
Drivers do not need to finish in the top 10 to count. eg. If you guess Hamilton for 9th and he finishes 13th, you will score 10 points.
The FIA Official Classification will be the race result for the game.

Just noticed, this is a new one posted after the deadline about 1 hour late, the FP1 already started and 12 minutes to be finished.
I am still battling P12 because I missed a round months ago for 30 minutes, and I didn´t post my guesses back then because I was late and I thought the rules were for everybody. So still hope the rules are for everyone and this guess should not be accepted.
Once more, I suggest for the future championships that the GTR's deadline should be moved to before Qualy on normal races, and before Sprint race on sprint weekends like in the Fantasy and everywhere else. This is not GTG to guess the grid and apply deadlines before FP1, but also it would be Ok if this is not taken in consideration but to respect the deadline rule in the moment of calculating scores.

It hardly feels like a prediction if you get to see how the cars are performing in practice, I guess in Vegas most would have had the Mercedes drivers performing much better with that information to hand.

Yeah I don't agree allowing after practice. It means that everyone only has a very small window to enter your guesses or if you enter earlier you are at a disadvantage. I have been playing for almost 20 years and has always been before FP1.

It wasn't after practice it was while practice was going on and as I said elsewhere I hadn't seen anything as should be obvious from the guess. I was thumbing the mag found out it had started and threw some guesses up then watched afterwards. If Sammyed hadn't been such a snitch you wouldn't even have noticed 
Anyway I'm gone from these games far too anal for what is some silly competitions on a website
