Typhoon level 3 this morning in Macau. Motorcycle practice was cancelled but rest of day looks ready to roll.

Like modern F1 cars, the size of GT cars have over-grown to the track.

 

Weatherwise bad weather will still have big influance of the events today (Friday) , but should be much better for Saturday and Sunday.

Big delay due to gt crash 

 

 

police now claim 3 fr cars (normal place for open wheel traffic jams) and this one involed sato who spun and two prema drivers both hit the car in the middle of the road

Session restarted for 45 seconds before fourth red flag comes out. Seems barrier repairs required after earlier crash involving Jin Nakamura.

Yellows were waving when Beganovic entered the corner. I wish we had Beganovic's onboard from a few seconds earlier, because if the yellows were already out when he was approaching the corner, then he has only himself to blame.

It's still bizarre to me how Macau is one of the only events in the world to have both bikes and cars on the track at the same event.

 

Also it's always overcast at this place lol. I guess smog contributes too.

They had twelve red flags in qualifying alone, which...yeah, I'd be calling for a meeting too.

 

Hopefully it doesn't end up like that F3 race years ago where the race director made the decision to cancel the entire rest of the weekend because of the poor standards on display.
