GEN 3 EVO ERA KICKS OFF IN BRAZIL!
While most of the others racing series around the world are entering winter break, Formula E is about to kick off its Season 11!
And this is going to be a very special season, as we're going to witness the introduction of the GEN 3 EVO car, the fastest accelerating FIA single seater in the planet, covering 0-100 km/h in just 1.87 seconds.
And wich better country than Brazil to host the first round of a very exciting season?
In the heat and the colours of the Sambodromo of Sao Paulo, 22 amazing drivers are ready to start their quest to become the new FIA FORMULA E World Champion.
This is going to be the fastest, most exciting and dramatic Formula E season yet.
This is the start of the GEN 3 EVO era: welcome to Sao Paulo!
Muito bom!!
THE NEW CARS PROMISES EXCITEMENT!
Sleeker, more aggressive looking and, most important, faster.
The new GEN 3 EVO impressed since its presentation for the much "lighter" look compared to the heavy dorito triangle that was the baseline GEN 3.
The activation of the front 50 kW motor for power makes this veichle an AWD beast, capable of accelerating in record breaking 1,87 sec 0-100 km/h.
The Hankook tyres got improved as well, with a 5-10% more grip available for the drivers to push the cars to their limits.
Base GEN 3 on the left, GEN 3 EVO on the right
JARAMA Pre-Season testing highlighted all the positive progression expected from the new cars, with the drivers having much more fun at the wheel of the GEN 3 EVOs.
Not only that: thanks to the increased power and grip from AWD, Attack Mode will become very relevant again in the races, as the drivers who takes it will get at least a 2 seconds/lap pace improvement.
The All Wheel Drive will be available for use in Qualifying, Race Starts and Attack Mode, making these phases of the weekend super exciting.
In terms of overall pace, the GEN 3 EVO cars lapped fast in Jarama, and not far from powerful open wheelers veichles like the old Super League Formula.
This new technical revolution is a bit of a jump in the unknown for everybody: there's lots of potential to be unlocked this season, and the teams are working day and night to discover the secrets of mastering the AWD traction.
How to get the best out of the new tyres, how to maximize the potential of the AWD power, how the race will unfold with these new tech...it's all a bit unknown and this makes it very exciting for us fans watching from home!
Even the pecking order is unclear: reigning champion Pascal Wehrlein's Porsche looked strong in Jarama testing, but Nissan is rumored to bring champ-winning car this season, and even Mahindra surprised everyone in private testing.
And we can't forget about PIT BOOST.
The fast charging technology that's going to be introduced in the Double Headers later in the season: a 30 seconds pit-stop that's going to recharge the car's batteries and allow for much different race strategies than we've used to see so far!
Fascinating!

SAO PAULO'S STREET CIRCUIT
The perfect street track?
Usually, there are Carnival parades in the Sambodromo of Sao Paulo, but this time, it's going to be a motorsport race!
Sao Paulo street track is a fast, stop&go street circuit that uses the famous Sambodromo road as main straight.
A technical track, with fast sections splitted by hairpins and chicanes, a bit reminiscent of the Norisring!
A 2.933 km fast, stop & go track, that will showcase the GEN 3 EVO acceleration potential, and with top speed exceeding the 280 km/h mark.
There are multiple overtaking zones around there, the stop & go nature of the track proved to be great for tight and spectacular racing over the years.
For example, do you remember last year's final lap overtake by Sam Bird on Mitch Evans?
That was so epic that it left commentator Tom Brook voiceless for a week!
