I am looking for help to find information and any pictures of the 1933 Monte Carlo Rally starting from John o'Groats.  Hotel or any pictures would be helpful.  I am trying to identify the Sunbeam driven by J Fullerton he was entrant No 4 and appently left first.

I have tried the National Archive and Beaulieu.

Not sure where to turn

Many Thanks

Nich

Reporting on the annual dinner of the Monte Carlo Rally British Competitors Club in its December 8th 1933 issue (page 1102) and looking forward to 1934 The Autocar noted that 'Squadron Leader Fullerton, who also was present, is to make a sporting attempt to take his old 20 h.p. Sunbeam through the Rally. Already the car has over 90,000 miles to its credit.'

He also appears in the entry lists for the 1933 and 1934 RSAC Scottish Rallies with a Sunbeam, but of only 2040cc, so presumably that was a late 1920s 16hp?

Different cars? Or an error in reporting?

Donald Cowborne's "British Rally Drivers - Their Cars and Awards" lists the Monte Carlo entry as 2040cc and a retirement.

Thank you both, this is real news. The register knows that the car was not a new model. So this explains the lack of interest in his entry. It was a possibility that the car was a 20hp Model (23.8 RAC) saloon.
