For enthusiasts of historic motorsport in the southern hemisphere, the following is a link to my collection of highlights photos from Historic Sandown in Melbourne, Australia last month.

If you click on the hyperlinked 'read more' below the album title, you'll see a link to the event results, which can also help with car ID's.

I hope you enjoy this collection.

Great photos Speedy!  I must make another trip down south, and pay more attention to its timing!

Only problem, what is historic motorsport coming to, when it lacks even a single solitary Bugeyes Sprite?  The world is spiraling downhill fast ...  ):

Thank you - much appreciated. Yep, historic motorsport is not immune to general world challenges these days. The bright side is that the Phillip Island Classic will hopefully, as usual, have more entries than Sandown.

If I can have a guess...

The dark-coloured front-engined open-wheeler sporting No 22 would be the Glyn Scott Cooper Bristol replica with the Repco-Holden engine.

The dark red LJ Torana running into Tony Hubbards Camaro will upset Tony. He never likes bending cars. I know I once did minor damage to one of them!

The Torana has obviously been repaired before because those front guards are supposed to be welded on.

I guess that is motorracing.

Entered as a Repco Holden Monoposto.

Looking at the pic there should be six primary pipes and I can only see 4.

Look more closely, Lee...

Especially at the lower set of three, the third pipe there is easily picked by its heat discoloration.
