Yesterday, I saw a Jordan 193 in the French National Automotive Museum in Mulhouse.

An unusual sticker instantly caught my eye: On the tip of the nose, there is the outline of the African continent with the letters "KG" inside. I wondered if it is a sponsorship at all (hardly any African sponsors in F1...) or rather some sort of solidarity program.

Does anyone know more?

Sasol Chemie GmbH and Co. KG is a fully-owned German subsidiary of Sasol, the title sponsor, so it could have been their logo.

KG in German firms means "Kommanditgesellschaft" and stands for the legal form of the company.
It is nothing specific suitable for promotion.

I wonder if it is something to do with Unipart as it appears within the light blue Unipart segment of the nose.  And Unipart does have a South African branch.

From a list of Jordan's 1993 sponsors;

Keeley Group Holdings is a South African company with two independent sponsorships with Jordan. Keeley Granite, a quarrying business and Keeley Air, which operates a fleet of small jets and helicopters out of Johannesburg.
