Out of sight, out of mind.  Hopefully the last hurrah for this moribund event.

Judging by the crowd at RoC, AusGP ain’t leaving Melbourne for Sydney anytime soon.

I watched the Nations Cup today, and it was enjoyable enough, but the British team being DC and Alistair and McRae, with the wealth of young talent that we have is somewhat telling.

Genuinely thought this event has died a death some years ago, you never tend to hear much about it anymore. And having it this close to the bulk of the racing season starting definitely seems an odd call - can't imagine there's too many current drivers or riders willing to disrupt their season preparation for this oddity.

Desperately needs a new lease of life if it is going to continue much longer. Maybe it needs Liberty Media to buy it, give it a make over and turn it into some sort of motorsport Super Bowl with all the associated American bells and whistles.  Perish the thought...

I think DC probably owns shares in the ROC.  And Alister lives in Oz so no air fares to pay.

What ROC needs is to be NOT in a stadium.

I watched the main event on Sunday, and to be honest, I thought it was pretty enjoyable.

I had no idea it was on prior to Saturday, and stumbled across it all by accident, so advertising generally seemed poor, but i'm not sure why it gets such a hard time.

I mean, Chaz Mostert dumping out Vettel; who'd a thought.

That move killed it - it has been on life support ever since.

It was odd that there was not even a hint about it until late last week.

It was a great succes the first years at Stde de France and Wembley, but it faded after that.

I also prefered the Gran Canaria track, but it was not then that it was at its height of popularity.

And precious little reporting of the event afterwards either.
