It is very pleasing to hear that the David Boshier-Jones' British Hillclimb Championship (1958-60) winning Cooper with a 1098cc JAP engine is coming out of retirement in the hands of Charles Reynolds. I have just posted an article about David by Charles who went for lunch with David in South Wales and describes him as a 'sprightly 93 year old'. See www.loosefillings.com for part 1 with part 2 to be published in a few days.

This is great to hear. It would be worthwhile recording the whereabouts of hill climb championship cars and maybe do a reunion; 80th anniversary in two years' time!!!!
Will Bosh's car be out on the hills?

I remember David Boshier-Jones. A most impressive driver on the both the circuits and the hills.
I would like to read this article, but when I went to www.loosefillings.com my computer said "private site". Is there any way in which Mr Reynolds article could be made available to a wider audience?

Sadly I am old enough (or maybe this it is something to rejoice and give thanks) to have seen D.B-J and P.B-J competing in period - the other brother Anthony also gave it a crack from time to time. I also remember haranguing my old dad to divert past the Boshier Jones's garage in Cardiff (near the old Ninian Park football stadium) in the hope of spotting something exciting.
The Boshier-Jones' genes must be exceptional. Peter, in his mid 90's, continues to play tennis to a very high standard, captaining the UK over 85 tennis team a couple of years back and, I believe, winning the Wimbledon Over 85's Championship in 2022.

I am sorry that the Loose Fillings website was accidently set to private; I have now fixed that and will post a link to the David Boshier-Jones part 2 of the story shortly.

Yes I am sure the car will be out hillclimb-wise. Also there is talk of something happening next year for the Cooper car 80th birthday.
