But i feel the post-race investigations will be equally action packed.
Messy affair in Miami!

Peak Formula E-nalty shenanigans. I enjoyed Homestead yet not adding that 1 lap was quite nonsensical to me.

Oh and I need to say this to give Formula E the true Nascar welcome and experience:
Homestead needs to be the season finale.
That is all. Cheers.

Better than expected, as I was not really convinced it was the right place beforehand either, but ultimately I think I would prefer the Miami Hard Rock short track they used for the EVO Sessions.
But it was fun to see this race here anyway, even if not the best showcase for what FE has to offer.
The good news is that next up is Monaco.

As someone said earlier in the thread, it's a pity they didn't make this a Pit Boost race - no reason that should be limited to double headers.
Looking forward to Monaco

Felix da Costa should easily be leading the championship by now. Unbelievable how unlucky is being so far.

Yeah, this wasn't my cup of tea, but I blame the circuit for that. It's just not a good fit for the series.

Felt sorry for DAC and Nato. They deserved better. Rowland was strangely quiet this race until he ghosted into the top 4. But a penalty dropped him out the top 10.
I don't know why another lap wasn't added at the end of the race. There was at least 2 laps under SC which normally means added laps.
Big picture, the racing for the first half of the race was painfully slow. We were waiting for the end of the race for it to kick off but denied proper racing by the way the SC and attack modes fell.
I really hope that the Gen4 battery has a bigger capacity. This is the sort of venue I would like Formula E to race at, but not if this is the type of racing it will provide. This style of racing just adds to the misconception that electric cars have poor range.

I think this is a legacy of the infamous Valencia usable energy fiasco in 2021.I don't know why another lap wasn't added at the end of the race. There was at least 2 laps under SC which normally means added laps.
The rule changes put in place to avoid a repeat of that included limits on how late energy deductions could be made. This was carried over into the added laps section of the sporting regulations.
The last SC/red flag may have ended too late to qualify for added laps, and this was to try and avoid a large part of the field not having enough energy to finish the updated race distance.
The no added laps decision yesterday was therefore for me by the book, following rules drafted with good intentions.
I would support a review about what changes could avoid this and other unfavourable scenarios in future, but it is perhaps another example of the unintended consequences of regulation writing.

I think Formula E should try stick to street tracks till the veichle is capable of running longer distances without much energy saving. (Gen 4)
First few races of the season were all great, Sao Paulo, Mexico, Jeddah, all delivered the show with minimal peleton and a lot of action.
While yesterday's Homestead race sits in the podium of my least favourite FE races, i have to say!
Very similar to that infamous Valencia race, Vielleicht talked about.
Thankfully Monaco is next, wich is ALWAYS a classic in Formula E
Should be great to watch with the new Gen 3 Evos!
Double header weekend, with a Pit Boosted race (so, very fast pace!) and a more traditional race!
See ya in early May!!

Not a classic. A totally unmemorable venue. Happy for Lola and glad that da Costa wasn't screwed too badly by the final SC.
