Hello,

this car seems to me an Amilcar. Does anyone know anything about her? Thank you very much

Does indeed seem to be an Amilcar radiator and windscreen, but that bonnet looks very long for an Amilcar. Maybe a locally-modified special? I'd love to know more because it's rather handsome.

If it was based on a C8 the bonnet is probably correct, but with the scuttle being lengthened to support the coupe roof.

It also looks as if it has been modified to be underslung.

Incidentally I'd suggest sending this to The Automobile magazine (a very good read incidentally): they will definitely know what it is.

I did laugh at the first reply, saying they'd Googled it as a Swallow!

There is a lot of good knowledge on that forum...

Some individuals are very individual, if you get what I mean.

There are elements of Tracta, Lombard and Rally, bodywork by Charles Duval, and even left-hand steering - or was the part of the image showing the car reversed?
The tyre size fitted on this type of voiturette/cyclecar was 27 x 4,40, meaning an outer diameter of 68,5 cm, a corresponding wheelbase of the car in the photo of about 235 cm, and an owner/driver of 140 cm!
