i am probably preaching to the converted but i just want to say that i find listening to podcasts when i’m driving to work much less depressing and indeed far more enjoyable than listening to LBC, which my wife has on the radio at home seemingly constantly!

Of particular interest to TNF posters and readers, I particularly enjoy : -

And Colossally That’s History! - the latest episode was on Jim Clark

Historic Racing News Podcast

Brooklands Members Talks

Motor Sport Magazine Podcast - i note that there have been no new episodes of these since August 2024.

Would welcome any other recommendations.

I'll have to organize my list, but it's growing pretty fast

One man’s meat is another man’s poison but I have enjoyed many of the interviews in the “Dinner With Racers” podcasts - the ones with Bobby Unser are particularly amusing.

I also quite enjoy “F1: Beyond The Grid” in spite of the interviewer’s rather unctuous style. The podcast title might imply a modern “Eff Wun” focus but that is misleading - there are plenty of interviewees who would be of interest to TNFers.

I have looked up the meaning of unctuous and I think it describes the presenter of Beyond The Grid perfectly.  I find it so bizarre how a minute or so after the interview has finished he says “Thanks for your time, xxxxxx ……” when the interviewee has already logged off!

Autosport National podcast is worth a listen . Not all interest me but the Goodwood MM one did. BTG is ok but Tom Clarkson is no Paxman and every time he says 'For - Ma- La - One' I want to  throw  things.  If you can tolerate Frankel's style the Intercooler has the odd diamond .

I've been binging the Dale Jr download podcasts , the stories and history are hilarious , great stuff. NASCAR oriented. I read a lot and watched a lot back in the day, I usually recognize what crew chief , crew member or team owner they are talking about.

Another vote here for Colossally - the depth of knowledge from both Matt Bishop and Richard Williams is great - and Williams is so lucid for a near 80-year-old.
