There will be a 12th team and eventually a 13th. Toyota will be one of them.
Toyota to go with HAAS. So, who is the twelfth? Apple?

Saudi Arabia, unless they buy Aston Martin outright and rename.

Don't think we'll see a 12th team, Toyota would be with Haas, Saudi Arabia will buy Aston Martin or Alpine I think if they enter Formula 1.

Most likely scenario if Russia is free trading again is that someone from Russia buys the whole of F1.

The statement, yet again excluded your mindful intervention, rather describing it as a course of natural development...?

I think so too. Andretti Cadillac have kicked the door open and exposed the current incumbents as greedy sleazebags and there is too much money to be made so someone is going to throw their hat into the ring sooner or later. Neither FOM nor the FIA will put any obstacles in the way of another manufacturer (possibly Hyundai or a Chinese marque) and I do not see how the current teams could block a Middle Eastern financed bid, given that several of them are already partly/fully owned by Middle Easterners.

Also, seriously, let's not forget safety. Is it putting drivers at too much risk having 4 more cars cars going into the first turn?

They should all stay at home in a room all made of soft fabric feathers and pillows instead of racing, that should be the safest.

Not sure with 12 teams whether the race timing table will either fit on my tv screen or be readable with smaller font to fit. Details, people!

Lol 4 more cars, with the length of the extended grid, the front 8 will have already made the first turn before the back quarter are even approaching.
Non issue.

If the logic of F1 team fratelnity is to accept manufacturor and disguise teams.
Saudi Arabia has no car manufacturer unless it purchases one, neither HK has a car maker with ICU, Chinese are not so much into ICU, rather in E-business.
Then yes, I can see Hyndai coming in, as they are already busy with WRC. But, a mark busy itself with WRC do not join F1 historically, tho.
US, then
