This appeared as a rumor on another forum. Could the experts here debunk it?

Damon, I believe, is a partner in the Rahal CART team, whose driver Kenny Brack has co-entered a car in the 500 this year. Whether or not he could drive it and defend his win from last year depends on Ford's engine supply contract with Rahal.

If only it were true! Graham Hill won the first Indianapolis 500 I attended. The appearance of F1 drivers always raises the level of everyone's effort.

If there is anything to this, damon should stay the hell away from there. Just ask Piquet.

I don't remember ever hearing about Damon being a team owner. I think that someone is yanking your chain.

There only person I know of that also owns Rahal's team is David Letterman. I have never heard anything about Damon Hill owning a part of any CART team. I can check it out, but I highly doubt Damon Hill will compete in the Indy 500 unless all the CART guys are there along with some of the top IRL teams so that Indy becomes a competition of truly great teams again. I like the IRL and all, but Damon Hill's interest in racing against Dr. Jack Miller probably isn't too high.

No, because team Rahal will not compete in the Indy 500. Secondly I don't know where you came over this piece of "information". As far as I know Damon Hill has had no contact with Rahal. And I don't think he will race in Indianapolis.

It's a third car for AJ Foyt. I'd bet 1000 peanuts it's for Braak provided he can work it out.

Michigan F1- On RPM 2day they said that A.J. Foyt wanted to enter another car for Kenny Brack to race and that Brack is going to have to beg Rahal some more but that he probably will race at Indy.

Thanks, everyone. 7 - 0 is good enough for me. Sorry for floating this - wishful thinking.

I could have sworn that I had heard of the Hill-Rahal connection at least once before this latest runor, though. Perhaps it was something I thought I heard on The Late Show with David Letterman?

Hill has actually publicly stated that CART is a lower racing series than F1, which he considers the pinnacle.

Anyway, it's a shame that CART, being such a good series, needs the Indy 500 so desperately.

There was a report on rpm2night that Brack will not be driving the car, but that he is happy to be a co-owner with Foyt.

Isn't it fun to dig up old threads and bring them on top again?:D

BTW, I don't think damon will race a car again in his life.

Indian Chief you got waaay too much time on your hands! :D (just kidding!;) )
You're not even a DH fan! :D

Kenny Brack was really good last year. I was really impressed at his run (qualifying) at Motegi last year.
