Aussie Viewers I hope were watching last night's interview with Irv on The Panel.
I hope you know what I'm referring to next:
One of the hosts asked Irvine, 'does the line "I'm a Formula 1 driver" work when chatting up women'?
His reply (this isn't word for word, but close enough):
"I was at a party in Milan, and there was some gorgeous girl, and after working my ass off talking to her for an hour and a half and getting nowhere, the Ferrari bloke who was with me suggested that I use the line, and an hour later it all was happening!"
I reckon that's just a classic.

doohanOK.

Irvine made more great quotes throughout his career
They guy's got a lot of self-irony, I like that...
Hill: "Does your new helmet resemble your personality?" - Irvine: "Oh, you mean the open mouth..."
Irvine after he flipped Hill over in Portugal '94 (?) ... (sounding really down) "Why does there always have to be some OTHER driver around when I make a stupid mistake???"
In his first year at Ferrari a german tv-guy asks "How does it feel to constantly be behind Schumacher?" - Irvine looks over his shoulder and wraps his arm around the first woman he sees, saying "Sorry! Gotta go!"
