Al Melling's website, www.mcdeng.co.uk claims that he has a V-10 F1 engine design he is flogging around that has three plugs per cylinder and other technical innovations. His track record with Scott Russel, GM and Lola is not confidence inspiring as far as his ability to really get the job done.

These appear to be images of his aborted Lola design. Anyone know anything more about the guy and his F1 designs?

I don't but considering the year of it's design, I'd assume the bore is about 90mm and you could extrapolate from that.

His resurrection of Norton with a 1500cc V8 in the world's nastiest chassis (his design I believe) floundered as well. This V10 engine was shown in Motorcycle News in 1997 when the Norton project was originally in the news. I think his reputation probably stopped the V10 getting much further than his own literature. Don't hold your breath for a race debut.
