I combined the qualifying times of the teams for the second practice session. I know this isn't completely fair since some (e.g., trulli) had problems earlier. Yet note how far the top two are ahead of the rest & how close the rest are.

The last two columns are difference between team above & difference from top team respectively:

team combined time
fer 2.64.612 0.000 0.000
mc 2.64.846 0.234 0.234
bar 2.67.372 2.526 2.760
sau 2.67.537 0.165 2.925
ben 2.67.767 0.230 3.155
jor 2.67.849 0.082 3.237
jag 2.68.313 0.464 3.701
min 2.68.684 0.371 4.072
wil 2.68.705 0.021 4.093
arr 2.68.768 0.063 4.156
pro 2.71.610 2.842 6.998

What kinda surprised me in a way was that both Bennetons ended up infront of the Arrows... Same engine, nice comparison :)
Can't wait those last 15 hours anymore... If I didn't have to work I'd go to sleep to make the time pass quicker :)

It's not perhaps very wise to make too many conclusions about these Friday's results, but it seems that BAR and Sauber (and maybe Benetton) are the winners and Jaguar and Jordan the losers.

BAR being in the top of the following group may not be too much of a surprise, since they have a good engine and one of the best drivers. But I'm very positively surprised by Sauber's performance. They might actually be fighting for point scoring positions if today's result gives any indication about what the season will turn out to be like.
