Thanks, man!
Looks like a nasty shunt to me. Luckily he was able to turn the car to avoid a head-on collision...

Thanks szs! :D

I wonder if Silverstone's events crossed Michael's mind at that moment.

Wow!!

This should silence the "Michael's scared after Silverstone" crowd. He was lucky not to barrel-roll the car.

szs. You're VERY nice.

I don't know about managing to avoid the head on, it didn't look like he choose to cross the kitty litter going sideways.

Am I the only person who has concerns that they are going to reuse that chassis?

Mumbler,

Why are you concerned? They can test it's integrity pretty effectively. It looked like the damage to the suspension had more to do with the angle that he hit then it did with how hard he hit. I think they should be able to repair it.

Todd, Michael said that they will repair the Car in time for Sundays race...but Michael will use the t-car for the qualifaction and the race.

szs,

Cool. I though they should race 198 anyway. Chassis 200 didn't have enough laps and the ones it turned weren't as fast as chassis 198's times. The only concern is that 198 actually has so many laps that it may not be as rigid as it should be.

I'm sure that Ferrari will rebuild with the greatest of care. But I'm mire concerned about the things that you can't see. When all is said and done the chassis was subjected to abnormal forces.
I know that they are far from cheap and that it takes more than a couple of hours of an Italian engineers time with a few bits of of carbon fibre and a nice big tub of resin. I just have an old fashioned feeling that slamming it sideways into a barrier will in some way weaken teh integrity of the thing.
