...check it out....it's back, but in Russian for the moment. It is still fairly easy to navigate. No full race recordings yet though.

I couldn't play them either, and I usually don't have any trouble playing .avi files. Are they some new version of the .avi format?

I think the files are several formats:
ASF (Windows Media Player), QuickTime (QuickTime Player)
as well as AVI's. So you may need to download other
players to cover 'em all.

http://www.farzadsf1...com/movies.html
has links to all of these other players' free download pages

IC, you need the DivX codec. I think you can download it from the site itself.

Amongst all the Russian jargon in the opening paragraph on the main page, it will say something like "DivX 4.0". Click on that, download it, install it, and your videos should work. :)

Try this site too. Some great F1 clips here, with several CART and RAllying clips including Carpentier's incredible crash at Laguna Seca last year and a full onboard lap with Montoya of Laguna Seca.

Then click on videos

Thanks, Witt. The videos started working without me downloading anything! Maybe the Media Player downloaded it on its own.
