I choosed this because nobody really expected the Brabham 82 team and it was BMW first venture into F1....

the actual work into what the cre mwmbers wore and the decals and signs on clothing, plus detailing the engine for the (this particular Imola 82 race) took longer than actually putting the car together. I would say about 4 months on and off. I was fanatical about correct faces of the 2 famous men ans well as uniform etc. I put the glasses on Bernie ( I will try to get a better picture of him) and the logos on the shirts from scrath graphic and decal work. Now looking at it again I see alot of things I can improve
C'est la vie
Ihope I have no royalties for Bernie E.:smoking:

 looks great. I built that same model this winter. I love the "little" Bernie. That's about 1:1 scale for him.

Absolutely brilliant!

Also, don't mean to sound pedantic, is it possible to model it on Imola 82 when Brabham boycotted that particular race? Sorry, i must be in a nitpicking mood today. :)

No actually your right, this is supposed to be the Friday morning test before the weekend race at IMOLA 82. Nelson had serious problems with his rear end suspension and brakes, and some valve problems with the BMW turbocharger.
If your notice the car has no front wing! this is because on tracks like Imola and Hockeniem downforce was at a minimum, it was interesting that the wing could be removed entirely, a very interesting period.:D

But... isn't the fuelcapsule on the first picture on the wrong side of the engine?

Yep your right phil the crew is From the Tamyia 1/20 set, If you noticed the tyre man with the blue jacket- he originally had a "thumbs up" stretched out left hand, which I broke and "puttied" back on holding an air gun instead :smoking:
Unfortunatly there aren't much plastic guys around scale 1/20, thats reserved for the model train fanatics - 1/100000000.
So making a pit crew is a daunting task. Or I can always get Warhammer pieces !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup really good, Ecclestone puttering around the engine when he actually worked for living, rather than off the avails of f1 contract gouging.;) Is that Gordan Murray with the beard. The metal stuff looks like real metal, is that paint -- i'm a complete neophyte when it comes model building
