Alex Yoong does this every second weekend, exept he don't drive on Laguna Seca, you don't see him complain now do you?

You inspired me to give the 3000 another try and I found a setup that actually makes the car pretty drivable and, no, you can't have it...

PS-Yoong is just lucky to be there.

I am getting hung up in the Casino section. The high speed converstion from the sweeping left hander to the tighter 90 degree right is killing me. I get a slide coming out of the left hander and the car is out of line for the next turn - it is a difficult turn to set up properly. The Portier section is also challenging - the two right turns are difficult to get together in one fluid arc. Fun track to do in a turbo! It's like a slip and slide session...

I had a serious problem at the end of the tunnel straight with the back end slipping out in the chicane. I found the fastest way was to slow to 1st before turning, then mash the gas and you will get more of a straight line through the chicane. Part of my problem might be that I'm using a DualShock and not a wheel (and an auto trans). BTW I set the car at maximum downforce and that helped significantly. Also the two right handers you were mentioning, I take those by going full out through the first, then full on the brakes about halfway between with a little bit of right turn. It will set the car into a slide that you can recover from in time to turn left at the next corner. It is a VERY fun track to drive!

1'17.9xx (can't remember the exact time) - F686/m

I have the same problem. I'll have to try out your solution. I just try to get out of the brakes before I initiate the turn in. It is very difficult why you are trying to do a flyer and you're coming out of that tunnel doing 180mph+!! I have the Casion section sorted out now BTW. You just have to make sure to hug the left wall until the turn in to the short straight.

Do you set the front downforce to 100%? I use 0.90 on the front and the max on the rear.

My F094/S lap times from http://gt3times.com (most of which are pretty old and I can easily beat now)

Apricot Hill: 57.440
Apricot Hill II: 57.421
Complex String: 3:11.151
Monaco: 1:11.384
Deep Forest: 51.897
Grand Valley: 1:21.664
Grand Valley II: 1:22.765
Laguna Seca: 58.662
Mid-Field: 52.605
Rome Circuit: 1:00.270
Rome Circuit II: 1:01.574
Seattle Curcuit: 1:08.228
SS Route 11: 1:25.423
SS Route 11 II: 1:27.876
SS Route 5: 1:00.166
SS Route 5 II: 58.783
Super Speedway: 25.227
Test Course: 1:36.891
Tokyo R246: 1:09.979
Trial Mountain: 1:01.067

I have the saved replays for all of these laps and they are clean laps as required by GT3Times. That means NO contact with anything, and at least two tires on the course at all times.

All together I have 210 lap times and 547 race times submitted to GT3Times, all with saved replays for proof should anyone doubt their validity.

RACE ON!

Thanks for the compliment. However, my forte' is not single lap times but race times. There are a handful (or so) of racers at GT3Times who can beat my lap times, but I have more #1 race times there than anyone else. And you guys with your questions about car settings may be able to find answers there, there is a Settings Forum there, among others. You can also find the occasional video of a blistering lap or race posted. I've posted a few myself.

You're right LCA, just when I thought I was pretty good! I think I've seen some of bobkarts times on gt3times.com and they were  , like 1:14.?? on Monaco in a 687. I think the trick is either holding it in second or getting it into first before you hit the chicane, otherwise it will do that little rear wheel lockup thing and you lose a second or two.

FYI
Due to some unforseen issues I have at the moment, I am delaying Round 5 by one week. The results for Round 4 will be posted over the next couple of days, and the PM's for the round5 car will also be out very soon. Im sorry if this causes issues...but I also think it will be nice for us to have a bit of extra time :D

Its currently Sunday night here in NZ. PM's will go out tomorrow. Car choice will be decided by about Wednesay. This gives us about 4 days to practise/obtain whatever car is chosen.

Any problems, PM me
