HI I am lucky enough to be able to chat with Heidi Graf regularly - you know, mother of Steffi Graf...

I asked her the other day whether she had met HHF and she said she hadn't but she had been told by a very reliable source (she didn't say who but I am assuming it was Michael Bartels who was with her daughter for 7 years) that he was a really really great guy.

She also mentioned that on the occasions she had met Michael Schumacher he was extremely rude. She actually joked with me that she liked Schmacher as much as I liked Andre Agassi (I guess none of you know how much I hate Andre Agassi, well, it's a bit kinda hate!!)

She is really great - fancy still talking to someone who hates your daughters choice of man LOL!!

and before you start throwing accusations around that it isn't Heidi - I know it is as she arranged for my friend to get tickets to Steffi's farewell in NYC last year and she also spent time chatting with my friend who was a virtual stranger - nice lady - really really nice lady!!!!

Well Steffi was a great player, likewise Agassi.

Steffi doesn't get on well with one of her parents, I think her father, who was evading tax payments, or something to that nature.

regards,

What Schumacher rude - I can't believe it!;) As far as Steffi shacking up with the "Las Vegas Kid" is concerned I thought she could have found somebody with a bit more style and class, but then perhaps I'm just beiing a snob. Not that there is anything wrong with beiing stuck up I hasten to add, it's just that the riff-raff don't seem to like you, can't imagine why.

Interesting how everyone who has apparently met Schumacher either says he was very nice and not at all arrogant, or exactly the opposite. Personally, I don;t know which to believe as I have never met the guy, but from what I have seen on TV, he doesn't seem that bad to me.
I have also heard that HHF is a nice bloke through a mate who met him a couple of years ago, I'm not sure how.
BTW - the same mate also met Schumacher and thought he was a **** ;)

I like the way some people can meet someone in public for about 20 seconds and immediately conclude that the person is a ****, or a moron, or a great guy. All it takes is the wrong or right facial expression or the wrong or right word under god knows what circumstances and immediately a conclusion is drawn with little or no real information. Conclusions drawn by people who have "apparently met" someone in the public eye have no merit.

I was sitting on the beach looking out to the water a few years ago when the best pair of legs I had ever seen appeared obscuring my view. The legs turned out to belong to Steffi. It took me less than 20 seconds form an opinion.

Heinz Fan,

Steffi's a real ace, that's for sure. I always thought that she and Martina Navratilova were great to watch. The best players of their sport for all time.

Anyways, back to F1

The most recent issue of F1 racing has a nice article on HHF and attempts to explain why he is sometimes considered an "outcast" or is misunderstood in F1 circles.

We know he's a great guy.

I met a Swiss girl who had dinner with HHF, his trainer and 3 others. She said he was very amusing and has a wicked sense of humour.
That's based on about 3hrs and she's pretty level headed.

Oh, I'm with you on the Andre Agassi is a loser thing.

Why Steffi Graf dumped her previous boyfriend for that moron is beyond me and a lot of her fans. I have to say Heidi is VERY "diplomatic" when it comes to discussing Andre. LOL!.

She has gone from champion tennis player to lapdog - it is very tragic. In fact did you know that in the last 2 weeks when Steffi has been back in Germany getting treatment for a knee injury Andre has failed to win a match..........talk about needy... LOL!!
