Just surfed by this site and found these cool pictures. But I am afraid some schiphol-employee will get sacked over this. The teams will not like this at all!!! But we do:)

The F1-field is shipped to the US from Schiphol Amsterdam. Enjoy!

In case anyone is wondering why all of the F1 equipment is being routed through Schiphol at the moment (it isn't normally I think), I think it has to do with the recently opened large-scale x-ray device, capable of scanning entire containers on a conveyor belt. Already pretty successful in terms of finding drugs concealed in them (the original purpose), the recently increased need for more security has led to it becoming quite popular I guess. I heard Lauda refer to it as well I believe.

Ross - I see Shiftin's point that this just doesn't add up from a security standpoint. Granted, there's not much in the pictures that you can't see elsewhere. However, the fact that F1 teams highly regard their secrecy, the whole planet is security consciese right now, but someone can still walk up to this stuff, uncover it, and post photos on the net... It's a total breach and someones head should roll.

The boxes are ok, but someone seems to have really got close into one of the cockpits with a camera, which isn't so ok.

Exactly, the pictures are cool but not that stunning. The fact that some dude on Schiphol is looking in these boxes and making pictures is cool for him and cool for us. But the teams won't like it at all, I even think they will get really mad when they see it. And I am guessing these aren't all the pictures.

Besides that, I really like the no-BS wooden steering wheel in Jos' car.;)

Huh...Just click them and they enlarge. Still they aren't that big but the quality is ok.

Yeah, he's Dutch, like I am. We like wooden shoes and wooden steering wheels. I thought people knew that.

ROTFLMAO. These are race cars people, not the actual bombs used in the next terrorist attack. Why such photos are such a risk or would piss any owner off is beyond me. They must be inspected, plain and simple.

Big woop.

teams wouldnt mind them being inspected by customs multiplebab, but they WOULD mind some mad dutch fan taking close up photos of their cars insides when they are supposed to be in what the teams were probably told was secure storage and putting them up on the net ;)

Im sure it was an employee (only an employee would have access) who was also an F1 fan (a non fan would hardly bother taking the pics after all)
