In TNF they would say he raced a lot in the fifties!
Won Le Mans I think too but I am not sure of the pronunciation of his name and have always assumed
it to be 'byoob'
Perhaps you could pose the question of Don Capps because he was there those days and also Karl Ludvigsen?;)

Thanks for the info. I've lived in Indianapolis, west side all of my life, but for some reason, I've been an avid F1 fan since about 1968. Sometimes it's difficult for us Hoosiers to try and pronounce any name other than Smith or Jones...

He won le Mans twice in 1955 and 1957 both times in a Jaguar

I always believed it was bwaaeb. However, me suggests, moving this to the TNF & it'll be solved faster than a speeding bullet!
