Not sure I am even remotely bothered about 2012 onwards, with all due respect. Isn't this a "nostalgia" forum in any case?
I can, however, remember my disappointment (bewilderment) that Jochen Rindt wasn't even included in the 1970 top ten. Who made that decision?

MCS, there's a note at the end of the Top Ten of 1982:
"It has been the custom for Autocourse to exclude drivers who, for one reason or another, have not completed a full season... this, of course, ruled out Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi."
It goes on to argue that while Pironi would have topped the list at the beginning of August, "it is feasible that he could have made mistakes [in the last few races] which inevitably would have detracted from his record thus far."
So that was the rationale, although one could argue that as a blanket rule, it was a rather blunt instrument. We can at least be grateful that the argument, for the most part, is in the past tense.

Thanks Peter. Makes sense I suppose.

I have compiled all the top tens into a spreadsheet ready for the total rankings to be revealed using the current 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1 scoring system. The only one I am missing is the top ten for 2021. Could someone please post that here and then I will add it to my spreadsheet and post the full list?

Dividing points by seasons yields some interesting and dare I say more accurate results (top 10 only)
37 Jim Clark 25.0
7 Jackie Stewart 22.1
18 Alan Jones 21.8
1 Lewis Hamilton 21.4
4 Alain Prost 19.9
2 Michael Schumacher 19.1
6 Ayrton Senna 18.1
28 Jochen Rindt 17.3
13 Max Verstappen 16.3
20 Emerson Fittipaldi 16.0

I looked back to see who is the highest placed driver in WDC who has not been on the list.
Five times driver in the top 3 has been left out. Autocourse has tradition to leave driver who's died or missing notable part of the season out which explains three of them: Rindt (1970 champion), Peterson (1978 runner-up) and Pironi (1982 runner-up). Other two are Räikkönen in 2018 and Bottas in 2021.
Only time as top ten in the championship has filled up the Autocourse top ten positions is 2010.

I question the accuracy because you leave out the years in which a driver did not manage to get into the top 10.
For instance take the case of Sebastian Vettel. Obviously up to 2021 he was not in the top 10 in 3 of his 15 seasons when he was eligible as an active GP driver.
So dividing 184 by 12 giving him 15.3 is flattering. The real quotient is 184 : 15 = 12.3.

That's true, I don't know if I have the enthusiasm to correct them all. Clark and (less so) Stewart are also skewed because the Top 10s only started during their reign. But I've no beef with that...
