I have mine adjusted that way also.
But its mostly because the clamping system on the MS-FF sidewinder is so poor, the wheel slides all over the desk with a high FF setting and a twisty track...

I'm looking for a league, races should be around 30min long with mostly original tracks. Any ideas?

Been errrrr ages since I last posted here

I'm now finding it really hard to break PB's, and really just cannot be bothered with tracks like Nurburgring, Mexico and Mosport. Just no fun for me and my driving style

Been using the Eagle mostly recently, have managed some reasonable times:

Watkins Glen: 1.04.13
Monza: 1.27.03
Silverstone: 1.25.95
Nurburgring: 8.08.xx (with a sort of half spin type moment)

I'm around -50 on the GPL Rank, but it was much more fun racing and beating your best time, now it's no so fun as I've just about reached my limit.

My league is starting on the 10th. You're welcome to check it out. The guys are friendly but competitive and not one alien among us.

That's a shame, I saw it too late. I signed up for UKGPL, they put me in Masters class among hot shoes. First race for me tomorrow.

Well, after all sorts of trouble with my comp, I did some driving during past few days. I've started using 'normal' (2.5") setups*, but still drive with wheel and joystick (which is a reason for having very sore elbow and wrist on my left hand). ALso, I've decided to give lesser cars (B.R.M., Honda and Ferrari) a go. Here are my times thus far:

Yesterday I did a 1.20.334 in Mosport nad today 1.19.098 in Kyalami. This gets me to -50.324 handicap. I am on a -60 mission now. Yeah!

One of the problems I find with GPL rank is that there is no constant.

Some use joysticks, some use game pads, some wheels.

It really isn't equal footing, is it ??

BTW, I still drive GPL at least once a week !!

well..its over a year since i switched form joystick to wheel/pedals, and i still can't improve on my joystick times so no updates for me

I drive it from time to time (not nearly quite as often as I'd like to)- still need to sort out Mexico, Monaco and Ring times to get a good rank (am at about -36), but am currently offline as well... :

When I sort out the Rank (-45-50), I'll consider switching to full alien setups (GH2 and stuff).

I tried that, but those diffs are still a bit too much for me to handle. I started to modify GH1 setups, and found out it helps a lot if I move brake bias to just 50 or 51%.

My rank is now at -50.958.

I'm still playing every now and then.

Thought I'd post as I'm now down to 1.54.00 flat at Rouen, which is pretty good for me. Previous best was mid 1.54's and not at all consistant.

Rank is about -50 but haven't updated for a while.
