Warwick confronts Schumacher in 1991

During the ESPN broadcast, someone mentioned that some of the drivers felt
that Schumacher was arrogant, but they never followed up on this. Apparently
this might have stemmed from his incident with Derek Warwick at the previous
weekend's Group C race at the Nurburgring. Schumacher was on a hot lap dur-
ing qualifying and was accidently balked by Warwick. He responded by chopping
the Jaguar's nose (Danny Sullivan on Ribbs style) intentionally and causing
damage to both cars. Later, Warwick chased Schumacher down and when he
caught up with him, Schumacher refused to apologize.
In an interview in last Thursday's AutoSport, Warwick said the only thing that
kept him from taking Schumacher's head off, was when he looked at him, he just
saw a kid, he saw his late brother Paul (or something to that affect). It was
quite a moving interview.
Anyway, Schumacher is an exciting driver and let's hope he grows up. It would
be great to see Schumacher fill the void left by Bellof.

There are occasional F1 stories in the Usenet archives (google.com for example), not much but a few.

Yes, but what is "usenet" exactly? Another name for search engines like google.com?

Usenet is what Google and Yahoo classify under "groups" when you do a search - special interest groups, usually e-mail based.

The Usenet is one of the oldest services on the Internet, much older than the Web and nearly as old as EMail. It is like a massive bulletin board which Dejanews(now Google) archived.
