Hey Folks,

Yes, it is possible to edit cars for use in GT3. All you need is a Sharkport, and a PC
along with a simple freeware program and you can edit cars until your eyes bleed!

I have been fooling with it over the past four days. You can tweak HP, change cars drivetrains,
and virtually anything your heart desires. You can go extreme and create F1 cars with
4000HP or you can tweak more realistic tuner cars.

I have made a Toyota Celica TRD with 4WD and 650HP. I used larger tires from the S2000
LM to stuff out the fender wells and the car is a rocket that looks really sharp.

I also made a Nissan Skyline that is lightened and incorporates the Tommy ZZII
running gear, I swapped over larger tires from a Nismo GT Racer and it looks terrific.

I tricked around with the Acura RSX, now its 4WD, 550HP with larger tires and the car
corners like it is on rails!

I have to say that this is a blast.

A few tips.

A car that is front wheel drive needs to be modified to 4WD or left Front wheel drive.
It seems that if you make the FWD cars RWD it doesn't allow you to mount a differential.

Also keep drivetrain mods close, for example the wheelbase of a Toyota Celica is 2600mm
and I put the Tommy ZZII wheelbase in and it is 2650mm and that 50MM seems like the most in either direction you want to go, otherwise the wheels begin to look slightly off.

That's pretty cool! Shouldn't it then be somehow possible to design and import your own cars (360 challenge...drool...), or can you only use what exits in the game? Maybe they can come up with one for tracks!!!

The editor only allows you to manipulate the HEX code that is already in the game.
But there is as you know the Lamborghini Diablo, Lancia Stratos WRC, Lancia Stratos
Road Car, Chrysler Viper(red/white with Playstation logos) and anything you want to
create. Tonight I made a 4WD 900HP Alfa 155 with larger wheels. It really handles and
with the enlarged wheels it looks sinister.

There are limitations, but once you learn them the fun begins.
