Anyone know, what brands are used by the F1 teams in the paddock...scooters that is.

Also, I know it sounds stupid - I just want a clarification - are the scooters used in the paddock okay to use on public roads?

regards,
doohanOK.

I think it's a good question, I'd like to know because I'm a scooter fan. I've been trying to talk my Italian friend into buying a couple, jokingly I say we'll start a gang. I used to have and ancient Jawa rode & the thing everywhere and it's nearly free. BTW I miss Doohan in the GP bikes I wasn't a MD fan but he set the standard, KR JR is the man now!
to paraphrase animal farm, two wheels good four wheels bad, ha! ciao GFW

I honestly think the majority of teams make their own.. I know Ferarri do for sure.... complete with the 300Kw Modena engine ;)

As usual, I can provide the Jax / BAR perspective of things, 'cause I'm not into the intra-team working of most of the other teams :).

BAR use M***** (something Italian) scooters.
I have a picture of Mika Salo on his 555-version from last year, a nice deep blue colour.

I guess I can't always get the answers...the pic's on my zip disk, but I lost the stupid drivers, and can't access it, because the disk is protected...I'll edit in the name into this post when I can access my disk... :(

Back in the days of yore, pole position at the races was rewarded (?) with a Vespa scooter. I have not heard tell of this in years and I wonder if the scooters are still awarded or, if not, when did the practice stop? Does anyone have any idea (on this subject or on what the hell I'm talking about)?
