I just read this in the latest Bernie mag, with McNish on the cover.
How come no one brought this up or did I miss the topic.
Anyway the book is due to be released May 1st in a world wide first run of 200,000 copies. It's to cover his whole life.

Thats why F1 magazine have been doing so many Senna articles. Because the book is written by the Tim producer dude (his last name escapes me) and that other dude who writes for the mag. They probably just got the articles from the book :p

Tom Rubython. He sure used the F1 Mag, to create an additional interest in Senna, among readers who forgot.

However if the book content is whole like the "last Senna love story" which was taken straight fronm that book (see another late issue of F1 Mag) then I am likely to skip on this one...

I can't imagine any book on Senna topping Christopher Hilton's Ayrton Senna: As Time Goes By. Absolutely one of the best books I've read on contemporary F1, and certainly the best book on Senna.

when I saw that, I was outraged. AT first I thought there was a couple of lunatics working for the mag who just could not go over their infatuation with Senna and rather than writing some articles on other great drivers of the past (never seen any articles on Lauda, Prost, Moss, Fangio, Clark, to give you an idea....), they just would go as far as writing about Senna's sexual life rather then giving up on their insanity.

Instead, the explanation is much, much more disgusting than that, simply a commercial exploitation by the pathetic editor of the magazine. As he was done with the book, he used the material to create a buzz about Senna, so he can sell more copies of his book. AAI sincerely hope most F1 fans will stay away from this book and buy instead the one mentioned by Bira. Such low commercial tactcis, even exploiting the memory of the driver they seemed so much to worship, deserve nothing more than contempt.

Very true.
I'll just wait until Mark Glendenning reviews it and gives the scoop.

Bira is correct, "Ayrton Senn: As Time Goes By" is the best book I've ever read on Senna

Mark already reviewed 'As Time Goes By' some 2.5 years ago: http://www.atlasf1.c...view/books.html
