Hello.

Last year, on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, I listened to a FM music radio station on the Internet, from Melbourne.

For a few hours each day, this station was on live from the circuit. They did not cover the sessions (do not have rights to them), but did talk about the GP a lot, gave results at the end of sessions, and you could hear the cars in the background. They really brought the atmosphere of the event to me here in America.

Does anyone know what radio station that was? I really want to listen this week!

Yep, it will definitely have been Triple M.

I've never thought that our stations could have such a far reaching audience! It's good news to hear that people are picking it up for a good reason.

CAN I LISTEN TO TRIPLE M ON THE NET?
Unfortunately Triple M no longer streams live audio over the net. If you'd like to leave a comment regarding this, please send an email to

Anyone knows of any other radio station that transmits from the track and on the web?

I think Melbourne Radio station 3AW broadcast from the track for the 4 day event, but i'm not sure if they stream audio over the internet. I doubt it actually, i don't even think they have a website.

Witt - did you go to the track today??

I went as i think its the last day open to the public. Not much to see other than the Minardis rolling in and saw Stoddart after sneaking into the Paddock Club. Quite a few people walking around - couldnt help wondering if each person happened to be an Atlas member.

I saw a few Minardi team members (hard to miss with their pit crew shirts on). Surely security would have stopped you walking into the Paddock Club?

I believe Sunday was the last day the circuit was open to the general public. Used to be Tuesday, which was a much better idea altogether.

regards,
doohanOK.

Nah gerry, didn't make it as i was at Phillip Island today. Around what time did you see Paul Stoddart? I ask this because he was listed in the program to drive a Maserati 8CTF today for a few demo laps at the Phillip Island Classic. I'm still not sure if he actually made it though, because he only arrived in Oz sunday morning.

Doohan - yeah we were only there for a few minutes before security asked us to leave. For some reason they left their posts for a few minutes. Last year was much much better - more cars had arrived aswell and the track was still open to drive around. I used to like driving around Albert Park late at night with all the lights on and last minute preparations on the Monday and Tuesday.

Witt - not sure of the exact time but probably after 3.30pm was when i saw Stoddart but it was only for a few minutes.
