I reckon we still have time for one more 'silly' thread before the season starts. Who is/was the worst ever F1 team?

Anyone remember Life? In 1990 they never won a race, never qualified for a race, never pre-qualified for a race. In fact they never got within 10 seconds of pre-qualifying.

I remeber at Imola a time of over 7 minutes!

Can they be beaten.

Andrea Moda came close to Life.

Yes, I remember Andrea Moda. Roberto Moreno did miracles in a daily basis, in order to make that stuff run.

My nomenne: the Bravo team. they make a lot of press fuzz, present a model of the car, introduced theirs drivers... and paid FIA with a fund-less check
Needless to say, the team never got close to a race track.

In the modern era, Lola have to be candidates though IIRC they got a bit closer to qualifying than Life did...

I think Forti was pretty bad. Of course the worst Formula One team may very well be BAR when you factor in the money and expertise available compared to some of thes eothers.

They will be making this season again so god damn boring by being so much better than anybody else.

Team which is so dominant is the worst team!

In this case, Williams was the worst F1 team between 1991 and 1996...

Just had a quick look, have a feeling that site is going to provide some good reading:

On Andrea Moda

"So McCarthy got his F1 debut in pre-qualifying at Barcelona, but as has been well documented, he only got 18 yards before his engine stalled, fuelling cynical suggestions that there was no engine in the car at all, and that the mechanics had been making engine noises from the garage. "

Yes, it's BAR. A team with two podiums, a team that has finished joint-fourth in the constructors cup. What kind of an idiot are you? I mean seriously, what a stupid thing to say. There are so many teams that have been worse than BAR was or ever will be. They've NEVER failed to qualify for a race for god sake.

No doubt! LIFE has been definetly the worst ever F1 team.
I still wonder why this team entered F1 circus, except for being remembered as the worst one ever.

Jaguar comes to mind when thinking of present day teams. They took over for Stewart, which had a good year, then jaguar came in with their people and stuck out the joint and continue to do so.
