How did Reynard get in so much financial trouble so quickly? Are they in danger of going under?

They poured way too much into F1 and CART teams went with Lola chassis's instead of Reynards.

Adrian Reynard has invested quite a bit of money in a state of the art facility over the past few years.
His main goal was to make his infrastructures very appealing to potential shareholders in a bid to get his company in flotation for the stock market.
Somehow, this has not worked out and his company has lost a lot of money.
Some of this is due to the fact that his Reynard chassis in CART have lost ground on the Lola's which have turned out to be the better package over the past two seasons.
Even though Reynard won last year's championship with Penske, the car was heavily modified by the team in its Poole, England facility before being shipped to America.
Funny how Reynard is finding himself in the same position as his main ( Lola Cars ) competitor several years ago...
The few remaining CART teams that are using his 2002 chassis are very worried indeed about what is happening to Reynard.
