------------------------------------------
Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes for the three drivers they genuinely think did well in the GP. One top driver and two running up. If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the blacklist for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the blacklist you go. Posts should be along the lines of:

...Top Drive: Driver X - The one guy who impressed you most over the GP Weekend

...Runner Ups : Driver Y, Driver Z - The next two guys who impressed you.

Make it clear which Schumacher you mean, and which driver is Top Drive. Don't use the abbreviation MS without further clarification, as it could mean both Michael Schumacher and Mika Salo.

Step 3- Voting will close in about a week

Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. 2 pts for a top vote and 1 for a runner-up vote. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then simply in race result order.

Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-6-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.

Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.

10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it

Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.

10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly

Note: people who are on the Voting Championship blacklist can still participate in Rate the race.

Race rating averages for Australia were 6.54 for quality of racing and 6.46 for satisfaction with the results.

Top: JPM - finally showed he can do slow tracks too!

Button - great race, should have been 3rd. Good dice with JPM

Bernoldi - for overtaking MS in an arrows!

race 6 - lead race not brilliant but a lot more action down the order [even if it didn't get shown on tv!]

results - 8.

If I could vote for Bibendum, I would... quite impressive weekend, white fat man.

Top: Montoya, who gains this position only due to the unfair treatment gave by the powers-that-be.

Runner-ups: Jason Button, what a shame;
Enrique "The Un-overtakable" Bernoldi

Quality - 5

Satisfaction - 8 (without Massa, would be 6)

A pity I can't vote for Ralf or Massa, but I sense this two will face other oportunities in the next races.

Top: Button
Runners-up: Salo, Ralf

Quality: 4, this might have something to do with the bad tv coverage, but it wasn't too exciting anyway.

Satisfaction: 2, both Finns in trouble. Would've been a zero if Ferrari had won.

Top: JP Montoya - on a mission
Sub: Ralf Schumacher, Jenson Button

Quality: 8 (perhaps influenced by the excellent Bernie coverage)
Result: 8

1. Montoya

Runners up: Ralf Schumacher and Jenson Button

Quality: 5 (abysmal coverage has a large part in that. If there was anything exciting going on anywhere on the track, I certainly didn't see it.)

Result: 7 (Both Saubers in the points is good , both maccas out is bad.. )

This is a difficult one but I have to say:

1. JPM

2. Button
3. Bernoldi

Offcourse I wanted to put Ralf but Im sure he will make it here soon so I just couldnt not give it to Bernoldi who gave us an entertaining duel with MS!!

Honourable mentions : Mcnish, Heidfeld, Massa, Raikonnen.

Quality of Race: 7 as it could have been much better had JPM not got his penalty and Raikonnen not had the blown engine

Result satisfaction: 8 - good for the championship although I would have prefered the following order - JPM, Ralf, Jenson, Heid, Mcnish, Massa

Top: Ralf. Did everything right.
Runner-up: Montoya. Did everything right except beat his teammate, plus came back from the penalty.
3rd.: Button. Must have liked the car - hopefully on his way back.

Quality of Race: 5. No real pulse-heightening battles. McLarens both exploded, eliminating any chance of a major battle for the lead. Montoya penalty was unjustified and elimiated chance of a Monty vs. Ralf battle. Coverage was the worst I've seen in a while.

Satisfaction: 5. Williams did well, but Monty got an unjustified penalty. The Ferraris and Macs will have to do better if I am going to do well in any F1 pools ;)

1 Jenson Button ( much as i hate to say it) great weekend

2 Allan McNish
3 Ralf Schumacher

JPM and MS lose out cos of the pissing contest - salo would have been there had the car lasted

Race 5 - was OK lost a lot at the first corner
Result 4 - not good but atleast MS didn't win - neither did DC, Kimi or JPM though, Heidfeld got points  McNish didn't

2) JPM (would have gotten the top spot, if not for his share in the first corner)
3) Jenson Button

Top: Montoya , recovered from de accident and the undeserved punishment
2) Button , is showing he gets the speed
3) Bernoldi, great overtaking move on Schummy

Race 5 , not much overtakings , not much fighting , TV coverage was not so good (the worst was the pratice, when they showed cars coming back to the pits instead of cars in Flying laps!)
Result 5 , JPM didn't win , the Macs didn't finish and Massa didn't get his car setup all righ (if he did he would outpace Heidfeld - he only needs time to get a little more experience) . The good point is that M Schummy didn't win!

winner. LITTLE schu. cant fault him. and i doubt juan would of had anything for him even without the penalty...but who knows.

RU's. Button and kimi

jpm and ms both did well to come back from the start, but i cant pick one and leave the other out.. so ill go with kimi for the 2nd RU. was showing dc how its done till the macs got probs.

race. 6 i guess. wasnt a total yawn, for the first half atleast.

satisfaction. 7. happy that ms and jpm got as many points as they did, unhappy that they didnt get more.
happy to see button do well, unhappy he dropped a few at the end.
happy kimi was showing dc up, unhappy he didnt score....

1) JPM He would have won had MSch not hogged the road
2) Ralf effortless win for him good job
3) Massa, or should I say Sauber?;)

Quality = 6 Malaysian TV coverage was attrocious

Result = 7 Msch did not win, if he would have finished out side the podium it would have ranked higher

Hmm, does this mean that only 22 BB members saw the Malaysian GP? A couple or a bunch more votes would be very welcome!

1) JPM (good come back drive, many passes, made it the podium.

2) Michael Schumacher (even a not so great race by his standards, a very good one, driving with no front wing, making up positions, fast when he needed to go fast, took care of the car when he heard Rubens's engine went, speeded up when Button had problems, got to the podium:up:

3) Button( one stopper, made the race work, fought for positions, defended well, very confident 4th place, even if he missed the podium:up:

I would of added Ralf, just felt he was gifted the win due to MS and JPM's problems, if he had won it with those guys in with a shout as well, then would be awsome, but its not his fault they had problems, but still made his race easier, gambled with strategy, turned out very good, but not the best performance, not his fault, just down to fate sometimes, to provide the ingredients for to win in the best way.
