Victory is the sweetest revenge. Montoya learned his final lesson today. Now he just needs to wait two weeks. And boy will he dominate in Italy next month!!! And Ferrari have no more aces to pull from their sleeves.

And if you can't discern what I'm getting at! I'm predicting a Montoya victory at Imola. I wonder how that post-race press conference will go... probably another long face session for MS. He looks so sexy when he's grim!

I thought JPM had learned his lesson at Monaco last year.
Not on your life.
Many more opportunities to learn his lesson since then.
Not.
It's time Frank sat him down and told him to keep the fire, but keep it under control.
The kid grew up with the worlds best wheel to wheel racing at 300MPH. He's not affraid.
He just needs to realize the consequences.

Agreed. I think Frank Williams and Patrick Head need to talk to JPM.

JPM today reminded me of this story.

The Frog And The Scorpion

Long ago there was a Scorpion who came upon a river and wished to cross it, but, being a scorpion, he could not swim. So the Scorpion walked up and down the river bank until he met up with the Frog.

"Frog," said the Scorpion. "Would you please give me a ride across the river?"

"No!" the Frog exclaimed. "I will not! You would sting me!"

Well, Frog and Scorpion talked for a long time, and Scorpion finally convinced Frog to give him a ride across the river, saying, "I promise I will not sting you. After all, if I were to sting you them you would be paralyzed and we would both drown. That just wouldn't make any sense to do."

The Frog agreed and the Scorpion climbed on Frog's back and they began to cross the river. About halfway across the river, the Frog felt a sting upon his neck.

"What did you do that for?" Frog cried out. "Now we both shall die!"

"I'm sorry," the Scorpion answered. "I couldn't help it. It's my nature."

Yes indeed, JPM needs a talk with FW and PH. Schummy cannot be overtaken. He needs his 5th WDC this year badly. Of course Ralfie agrees with that too and will help him on that. I think Monty is an idiot because he wont take heed.;)

Obviously FW and PH will ask JPM to learn from his mistakes and the famous duo of MS and RS will be blown off. After all JPM outqualified both endeard bros.

Hope Michelin brings a good tire, or else it will be a stroll on a Sunday drive.

why was Montoya so much slower than Ralf in Imola last year? Was it mechanical problems robbing him of time in free practice to learn the track in the dry?

they had a good tire in Brasil, but they will bring a more consistent tire to Imola which doesn't need as much scrubbing. Their strategy is to use softer compounds than the Bridgestone, which is a problem when the tire is new because there is so much movement in the softer blocks of rubber that make up the grooves, but when it is worn the wobble isn't so bad and the softer compound gives them more grip than the more solid Bridgestone.

Aahh...there is another ace up Ferrari's sleeve.

Brawn to Todt : "Bring out the voodoo magic, put on the wigs and lets do the rain dance!"

He lost Friday because of mechanical problems.

I guess that is why they are kept under the sleeve for the time being.

Just as I had hoped, the F2002 seems to have the measure on the Michelin advantage this time around. Those harder Bridgestones aren't too shabby either but other Bridgestone runners proved it was not anything special but good enough to do the job.

Perhaps it was more tuned towards the Ferrari.

Imola should be good once again with the Macs in the fray too.

Honda is still with ZERO points!
