Makarias, am I a bit stupid or what? I can't get it how you manage to count the standings of the players in between the races.

Did we just gave our guesses of the final points?

Please explain.

Well I basically use the WDC standings after each race as "the final WDC results", and compare them to the entries... So after the first three races the maximum possible score would have been 78, which would have been achieved if you had placed at least as many points on each driver as they have scored so far.

The fact that nobody has a 78 now is mainly due to the surprising result for Webber in Melbourne. As you can see in the very last table posted, 44 participants out of 46 have already missed points due to Webber. From that table you can also see, for example, that at least 29 participants have no more points to gain whenever Salo scores points later on in the season.

You can expect the scores for the final races of the season to be quite low on average, with some participants possibly scoring zero points in some races. That is also when the really big differences appear in the standings.
