Which racing games are good to play linked up whilst drinking? The current favourite is Need for Speed Porche 2000. Games like GP3 are too difficult when drunk. I'm after games where you can drive with one hand on the wheel (the other hand holds a can) and big crashes can happen.

Any ideas?

Steve.

Need For Speed is probably the best for this though :)

Carmageddon and Grand Theft games.
And Midtown Madness 1 and 2 are cool for drunkdriving still. :)

I drove some laps with GPL while drunk, NOT online though. It was a scary experience at first, but after a few laps, i wasn't that slow... spun quite a lot though :) I would never do it online though, as most of the GPL players are pretty serious when it comes to racing ;)

Maybe you could start a Drunk GPL league. That would be quite interesting. Except there would be no way to insure everyone was equally intoxicated. :)

Instead of doing car classes, we could do classes like 1 sixpack, 2sixpacks, wasted :) Would have to take the gentlemans word on the classes though ;)

I once played GT after 16ish beers (mix of pints & cans) At the end I could not even tell if I was on the road or the grass. GT was good for drinking & driving but the PS2 in our house was stolen.

I've done it to. After a very hard drinking session with my brother I was convinced that I could easily help him with S-lisence tests.

It was somewhat embaressing yet expected: couldn't keep GT40 in track even in the first straight.

Yeah GT3 has just the right game/sim balance for playing after "a couple of ales, officer" :)
But for post-pub-with-mates fun, an oldie but a greatie - Micro Machines V3 really takes some topping. Massive fun for a fiver. :D

I used to laugh my head off playing Carmageddon II after :smoking: Sadly, it doesn't play on XP. I haven't tried any games drunk, but I play almost all of them (GT3, SCGT, F1-2001, CMR2, ) buzzed... :smoking: :smoking: :smoking:

But Carmageddon II was hilarious!! FAT BASTARDS!!!!

I wish. I sent SCI an email and they said there is no patch to fix this (XP is based on NT, and Carm won't play on NT) and they weren't planning on one. My only hope is that XP allows dual boot, so I can install Win98 and play it there. I just have to get Win98...
