Just watched the race (Brazil) this weekend again and I noticed during an interview with Lauda that his Parmalat hat was different - in so that the word Parmalat itself was covered by a black strip of tape or fabric - almost as though he was not able to advertise????

On a side note... I was watching the accident between MS and JPM... There had been some disagreement regarding if and when JPM's front wing struck MS's back end. Well folks...those of you who may have recorded the race should take a close look. Why? Because at the closest point (between JPM's wing and MS's left rear wheel), the shading of the wing changes and the integrity if the right post which holds it to the nose changes as well. It's actually quite easy too see. This seems to me that they definately touched..

I saw Niki on Dutch television. He told Olav Mol he is looking for a new sponsor, since his Parmalat contract finished this year.
So if you have some money to spent, call Niki

How many times have we been over this?
MS 'moved in front of' JPM. JPM ran into MS. MS got lucky, JPM got un-happy, now we wait for Imola.

/////edit - Changed "MS cut JPM off" to "MS 'moved in front of' JPM" so i dont spark another pointless ego argument.

Nope - no way no how. This is NOT what happened - I think you're joking though.

JPM ran into MS and it couldn't be anymore clear according to the feed I recorded from SC/WF.

I'd laugh if Parmalat payed Lauda to stop wearing their logo!

And does anyone have photographic evidence of this mysterious hat?

It's on the race coverage - an interview prior to race start. So if you know of anyone who recorded it you can see it cleary there.

This who-hit-who debate reminds me of the time that Evander Holyfield took out Mike Tyson by sticking his ear in Mike's mouth.

Niki answered that one on RTL. He said something in the lines of "Well, we´re a traditional british team, and the Queen Mother has died. It's a sad day for us".. or something like that. A bit wierd, but I think that was the reason.

There's a lot you can say about Lauda -- good and bad -- but he certainly takes his hat sponsorships seriously. He wears that hat to black tie events.

are you sure the Parmalat sponsorship ran out this year?? I thought that Niki & Parmalat had a life-time contract.

Always found it very interesting that he wouldn't wear a Jag hat when he was team principal. What a team player... I think he always has a hat on because of the horrible scars from his accident. I've never seen him without a hat since then (and I've been following F1 since the days of Clark and Hill...)

I would'nt knock Jaguar and Niki now because they have just got new areodynamicists for obvisous reason and have already made new adjustments to the areodynamic package.
and on top of that they have aquired a new wind tunnel setup which is said to be promising from the test down at valencia.

With the clash between JPM and MS at Brasil, simply JPM fault he tried to get through as M.Schumacher was turning into the corner and he realised he could'nt get through and his right area of his front wing of the Williams was caught on to the rear left tyre of M.Schumachers Ferrari, and then from there it was taken off.

Juan Pablo Montoya thought or still thinks that M.Schumacher did it on purpose.
Hopefully that wont happen next time so we get some more exciting results and some close challenging between the two drivers.
