That´s a good post, thanks!

It should be said, however, that the race cars will have different acceleration based on gearing and aerodynamics.

Sources for this information are numerous.

Road & Track magazine, Performance car, Sport Auto (french and german issues).

Interesting notes are that the acceleration figures for the F1 turbo car do not show that
the car had wheelspin all the way through to top gear, as did the 1966 AC Cobra.

****I tried to format the page several times but DATA shifted every time, sorry. You should be able to decipher the information. I will try to scan the Road & Track test results when I can access a scanner capable of it!

For those of you who dispute these figures, please contact the source for your complaints.

Suzuki GSX1000R 0-100 <3 sec. 0-200 <9 sec. 285 KM/h $11 000 new
Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa 0-100 < 3 sec. 0-200 ~8 sec. 305 KM/h good one used $ 7 000

God damn what a lot of straight line performance you get from stock motorcycles.

Kober: I too disagree with the F1 car results.

Latest figures put 0 - 60 of an F1 car at 2.2 seconds.

And considerign that F3000 and F1 cars weigh the same yet the F1 car has just under double the power, this has to be false.

No way posssible that a F3000 does the quarter faster than an F1.It totally defies all physical laws.I'm not falling for it.
So,a F3000 would make it down to the 1st corner before an F1?

Back up your source for the F3000 accel.
