Atlas Voting Championship 2002: San Marino

Remember to consider the whole weekend, not just the race.
------------------------------------------
Step 1 - GP takes place & voting opens
Step 2 - Everybody votes for the three drivers they genuinely think did well in the GP. One top driver and two running up. If I feel you are simply voting for the fav driver each time I'll put you on the blacklist for a while. (I won't be voting myself, to make it fairer) Also not arguing over somebody elses votes or again on the blacklist you go. Posts should be along the lines of:
...Top Drive: Driver X - The one guy who impressed you most over the GP Weekend
...Runner Ups : Driver Y, Driver Z - The next two guys who impressed you.
Make it clear which Schumacher you mean, and which driver is Top Drive. Don't use the abbreviation MS without further clarification, as it could mean both Michael Schumacher and Mika Salo.
Step 3- Voting will close in about a week
Step 4 - I'll add up the total number of votes. 2 pts for a top vote and 1 for a runner-up vote. This will produce a 'race result'. Should drivers have the same voting score then I will split them by who has had the most Top Votes. If that fails then simply in race result order.
Step 5 - The drivers will then be awarded championship points on a 10-6-4-3-2-1 system.
---------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
Rate the race
------------------------------------------
Please rate the race from 0-10, using the following guide.
Quality of race
This should be a reflection of how good the race was, not how much you liked the results. Please don't give it a one or two just because driver X failed to win the championship. Think about how much it had your pulse racing and you guessing at what the end result was going to be. Use the guide below to help, and think carefully. Try to compare it not just to the last few races, but all the grand prix you've ever watched. Votes of 9 and 10 should be quite rare.
10 The best race I've ever seen
9 Contender for the best race of the last few seasons
8 Contender for the best race of the season
7 Brilliant race, I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of the race
6 Better than average, more than a few on the edge the seat moments
5 An average race, nothing spectacular but worth watching
4 Below average, too few exciting moments
3 Well, there was one or two moments of interest
2 That was completely predictable
1 I struggled to watch it all the way through
0 I slept through most of it
Satisfaction with the results
Please also rate the race in terms of how satisfied you are with the results. This one
should be based on if driver X wins the championship or not! Also factors such controversy
over DQ's that sour the event should be considered.
10 All the right results, and done with style
9 All the right results, if not in the best manner
8 Mostly the right results
7 Mostly the right results with a bit of luck
6 Some of drivers/teams I liked did well
5 Neither happy nor sad with the results
4 My likes didn't quite manage to do well
3 My likes did quite badly
2 My likes did quite badly and my dislikes did good
1 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well but I'll give them credit for doing it well
0 All the wrong drivers/teams did very well and the right ones did badly
Note: people who are on the Voting Championship blacklist can still participate in Rate the race.
Rating averages so far:
Australia: Quality 6.54; Satisfaction 6.46
Malaysia: Quality 5.87; Satisfaction 5.77
Brazil: Quality 6.57; Satisfaction 5.80

RU: Massa - for actually doing something interesting and making a pass!
This is where it gets difficult, the race wouldn't have been so dull if some of the drivers did something special! I'll go for Button.
Quality: 0 - At least the equal worst GP I've ever seen

Michael Schumacher, who drove a perfect (albeit easy) race and was consistantly strong throughout the weekend.
Runners up:
Jaques Villeneuve: Yeah, Button drove well, too, but here's someone who made something happen all on his own. Improved throughout the weekend, and just missed out on would have been a well-deserved point.
Rubens Barrichello: Had an extremely strong 3 days, and needed only 1 lap of clean air to make it past Ralf during the race.
Quality: 3
Except for the start and a couple battles mid-field, this race was little more than a procession. Not terribly exciting.
Satisfaction: 6
With the tops teams being as reliable as they have been, many of the deserving drivers down the road couldn't get points.

Runners -Up : Rubens, terrific throughout the weekend;
Massa - great overtaking move on Trulli (Button- honourable mention)
Race Quality- 5 ( the race itself was more like a 4 - quite a procession, but the quals were exciting, and the free practice in the wet were fun);
Satisfaction - 9 (if only Fisi had done well!)
