I woth say it is a good engine and you need more practise :)

The only tip I can give you is check the driving lessens, it helps alot! And also make shore that you have the "Show best line: ON" when you start racing, it helps.

I have only driven with a wheel so if you use a keys, this my not apply to you :)

The only problem with nascar 2002 is that there is only 2 good tracks.... the rest are ovals :) The car feels pretty good... and yo can powerslide those beasts around corners. The sound is also pretty good, and best played at high volume :)

As for it being difficult to keep the car on the track, be gentle on both brakes and accelerator. Try not to break/accelerate as you steer at first. Try to use slow, gentle moves with the steering wheel, not to unsettle the car going into turns. Start driving very slow, but controlled, then try to go faster and faster.

thanks.. have been trying all of it :)

when i got slow, i can keep the car on track, but every now and then, i get yanked off the track for now apparent reason.. worst is california. .. and i do use a wheel/race line

guess i'll keep trying .. Daytona with arcade mode was easy :) for 12 laps i led the race, then someone kept knocking me off the track !

i bought the f12001 after a lot of reading, and then found my video driver won't work iwth directx and that means i can't run the game.. have to get a new card.

Make sure you use the staggered setups, or your front tyres only last about ten laps, depending on the track.

I only just bought Nascar4, got ripped off by the local Noel Lemmings store, paid $99 for it :( mainly because i was too lazy to go to Gamezone in town, where they had it for $79.

Also a manual was not included!!! Only a pdf file and about 150 pages to print, AND none of them numbered!!! That's slack.

So, 2 months after i buy N4, N2002 is released. I'm a clown, i know
And there is'nt really a hellova lot diferent. Slightly better gfx (always a good thing) better sounds (always a great thing) and new rules and skins....oh well i'll go get it later...

If you are too lazy to go into town then way not stay home and shop :)
I found this online shop, http://store.yahoo.c...e-au/index.html, it is Australien and I guess you are from NZ so it is close (did a search for Noel Lemmings and only found shops in NZ :)), has N4 and N2002 listed at $64. I buy my games from this shop and I live in Sweden! There my be other sites with lower price but this one I know is good.

I have had it for a while now and it is brilliant. Infact I have just finished a league race. We run 40% so in this case, that was 107 laps at Las Vegas. I play it more than GPL now as online, if you get a great bunch of racers, it is killer. Imagine running lap after lap 2 wide or chasing somebody down. Just brilliant.

heh yeah you're right. But i kinda like to go to the store, i don't do much shopping and i usually spend a hour or so tinkling with the new toys and stuff :p

Yeah you're right, i'm in Auckland NZ, and the Noel Lemmings store is just around the corner, that's why i went there. But they don't specialise in PCs or software, that's why they have a bigger mark-up i guess.

Cheers,

hehe.. i got the nascar game for abt 50$ (even in your currency it should be just abt there)

you guys are getting ripped!;)

i am getting my new video card today, and will then try the f12001 to see what the fuss is all about.. yesterday i saw the X-Box launch preparations in full swing in a local mall.. wonder what they are planning to bring to the gaming scene..

anyway, i think i'll stick to my good old PC for now and let my family enjoy the TV in peace :p

would have to stop buying things for the PC.. it's burning a BIG hole in my pocket..
