Expensive male organ symbols driving in circles

A recent study conducted by the Womens University of
London, on behalf of spouses of Formula 1 fans, has
revealed that Formula 1 cars run in circles.

"All the time our husbands and boyfriends have been
going on and on about these beautiful cars driving
these glorious historic tracks." said Wendy Brown,
girlfriend of Formula 1 fantatic Tim Brown, "When in
fact they've just been driving round and round."

The study was done by Dr. Jennifer Flemming on the
Spa-Francochamp circuit Belgium. The track had been
described as "A historic masterpiece with high speed
curves running through the majestic landscape of the
Ardennes." by Tim Brown, but as a "Road which goes
in circles." by Dr. Flemming.

When confronted with the report Tim Brown had to admit
that the cars where in fact not going anywhere.
"Typical, big toys for big boys" was the response of
long suffering girlfriend Wendy Brown.

A new study published yesterday revealed that Formula 1
TV ratings have fallen 90% after the release of the
"Circle" report while Sunday walks and taking out the
trash are up 90%.

We need a return to open road races like the Carrera Panamerica and the Mille Miglia. This circuit stuff is a little onanistic.

I used to think that the cars used to go in circles, and got really fed up with being a G.P. widow every summer. But then I started to watch the races on T.V. and got hooked. Now I join my husband at the race weekends that we can get to, and watch the others on T.V. - and the kids are now G.P. orphans. Just take these daft women to a race and they will be fans forever.

When I was an ickle girl I loved racing then I went off it, with the whole its so boring watching cars going round in circles (I obviously came to my senses). There aren't any GP orphans in our house though, cos my dad has converted us all, in fact he's mad cos I know more about racing now than he does

Formula 1 drives in 'squiggles', not 'circles'.
(Does Spa-Francorchamps look like a @$@^$#% circle to you?)

Sa... i gotta know what an "ickle" girl is???

As for the topic, i don't expect a girl to be as enthused as i am about F1 but i expect them to understand MY passion for it....not putup with it, but understand it.

With the dearth of passing and other assorted ills, even serious F1 fans are having doubts. Perhaps this report will spur some constructive action not based strictly on how many dollars it will put in Bernie's pocket.

Thank you.

Ellen, you've got it backwards. It's the dykes that are into F1. Real women don't know a damn thing about F1... how do you think Coulthard got the best looking F1 girl?

My problem has always been the opposite. I'm the race fan & my boyfriends have always not been fans & can't understand why I would get up at 4:30am to watch a race.

what a stupid study. People really waste their time to come up with this bullshit?

Then tennis is 2 idiots banging on a ball for hours

Soccer is 22 idiots running in way too short and tight pants after a dumb ball

Basketball and golf is about morons trying to stick a ball into a hole barely large enough to fit it

Rugby is a bunch of violent butchers pretending to run after a ball but really there to beat the crap out of each other.

Sailing is about going somewhere but not knowing why.

I mean, every sport can be reduced to a totally sstupid and useless activity. This study and the people involved are way more stupid than any sport on earth, including frog races and spitting constests!!!

Stoopid - you take that comment back. "ITS THE DYKES THAT ARE INTO F1. REAL WOMEN DON'T KNOW A DAMN THING ABOUT F1."!!! I know a fair few females who would dispute that comment - myself included. I can assure you that I am all woman - probably too much for you to handle - and I know a fair bit about F1.

In any case, I doubt dikes (intended as die-hard mucho lesbians - sorry if anyone is offended, I am usuing it as it is used here in the US) would associate with a predominantly male sport. They behave like men but have very little respect for them.

My future wife is an F1 fan and trust me is quite femine and womanly, my dear Stoopid

The sad thing is that someone got a government grant to make that report. Why don't we apply for a grant to study the benefits of F1. We'd have to do a full season, and travel to every race personally. But the grant could cover that.

It is funny how feminist don't act very...well, feminine. My wife is kick-ass. I love her. She is independent and speaks her mind. Don't give her any **** or you'll get f'd up! But she IS NOT a feminist in the use of the word that it has become popular. She is a true feminist, because she is feminine, not macho. She understands, respects and celebrates her 'woman-ess' (?), and dosn't act like a macho dike!

Actually you will find that the term 'feminism' refers to the belief that men and women are equals. The opposite is 'masculinist' which refers to the belief that one is superior to the other (in most cases it refers to males being superior).

Therefore males can be feminists.

Unfortunately many people believe that a woman who is a feminist is a 'dyke'. Also, just because a woman is 'macho' doesn't mean she is a 'feminist' or a 'dyke'.

It is sad to see that we still have to deal with homophobia/sexism/etc. in this day and age.

I hope you didn't mean me Jecko? If so, you are soarly off on what I'm like! With at least 50% of my friends being gay, I would hate for them to find out I was homophobic!Posted Image

Also, could you come down here and explain to my "feminist" friends that I, being male, am an equal to them, being female? I don't think that they would agree with your 'textbook' definition. I was refering to the word 'feminist' in it's popular context, which is not the right definition as I was saying. My wife is a true feminist but would never call herself as such, my "friends" that call themselves 'feminists' are macho dykes!Posted Image

Yes mono,

I meant that you being a male are exactly the same as a female. Sheesh. It should be pretty obvious that I was referring the type of equality that has to do with status in society etc.

The point I was adressing was why shouldn't women act 'macho' as you put it. It seems to me that you believe that any woman who acts macho is a dyke and not 'feminine'. What the heck does acting feminine mean anyway?

Wow! It's so funny how you can come off completely opposite in type of what you actually meant! Well I am pretty secure in my understanding of this issue and am WAY to tired to debate it.

If that is how I 'seem' to you then that's great! I love it when people have some false impression of me, because if you ever really got to know me you would be in shock.

Hey, chock me up in your mental barracks as a bigot and racist too. Why not! Oh I'm going to dinner with my best friend and his boyfriend this weekend. Wait till he finds out I'm homophobic! He's going to be so taken back. LOL.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Oh and feminism, technically, has nothing to do with the equality of genders. That is..umm...equality. Feminism is the celebration of the female spirit. Something I understand very well thank you.

Actually, I find it hard to believe that in this day and age there is still someone that believes men and women are the same. They are not. And thank God for it!!!!!

When you say "same", if you meant it from a legal, rights, opportunities, ect, then I am in total agreement with you. But the "equality" ends there. A woman who is self-assured and independent does NOT feel in any way equal to a man (and my to-be-wife is a strong believer of this). She is well aware of the contrary, of how different men and women are and how together they complete each other. Neither is better or worse than the other, neither is superior or inferior. Simply different, physically, mentally, psychologically. And this is why it is so amazing to be in an intimate relationship and discover how much we can give and do for each other.

Exactly Red!!! Why can't others see this. It is Yin and Yang. Two opposites that make a whole. We are NOT the same.

People are always confusing Womens Rights (the pursuit of equality in the work place, society, etc.) with Feminism. They really have nothing to do with each other.

Jeez mono,

This wasn't an attack on your personal views and I wasn't labelling you a homophobe or anything like that. It is pretty clear that you are not, and that is great.

The point I was disagreeing with was your view/opinion whatever of how women are supposed to act.

"She understands, respects and celebrates her 'woman-ess' (?), and dosn't act like a macho dike!"

This statement sounds like you think that any woman who acts macho is a dyke. I for one know many woman who act "macho" and are quite straight. That was my only beef.

Oh I see now Jecko!

No problem. I was just using macho as an adjective and it wasn't meant to be all inclusive. Simply using a stereotype. In all reality, all the lesbians I've ever met weren't in the least bit macho, rather feminine, and vice versa.

Ah, the topic has digressed to feminism. I do not have time for such. As for the F1 cars running in circles, I knew that long ago. But I watch it because it is an intelligent sport and it takes strategy to win, not just getting into the car and driving fast.

Report finds that men don't like soap operas.

If women don't like it they can always leave. Unless of course that is they're dependent on the man. Which of course totally conflicts with the ideals of feminism. The report doesn't state what women would rather be doing or having their men do. Is it so they can sit down and watch the TV instead? What's the reason? Or is it just another chance for feminists to bitch about something?

I get a lot more joy watching F1 racing than I ever got out of any woman. In fact, I get more joy out of playing hockey, watching racing, weightlifting, conditioning, listening to Pink Floyd, and working on my own music project on my keyboard and my computer, than probably 95% of all the "friends" I've had women or otherwise.

Praise the lord F1 races this weekend and I'll make sure to post that on some feminist chat room too, not an American one though. They'd think Formula 1 is some sort of household cleaner and go off on me for thinking they should be cleaning the house or something.

Pacific, Pacific, Pacific,

There is this one activity, with many variations, that can justify even the most unfathomable behavior from members of the opposite sex. Otherwise, I assure you that most people would come to the same conclusion you have. Just ask any married man.

Many responses to this thread seem to ignore that the article was a joke and not genuine. Lighten up.
