My understanding is that it's the following:
1) Team with highest finish position.
2) Team with most finishes at that postion.
3) Team that was first to finish at that position.
Am I right or wrong?

26.d is my favorite.;)DEAD HEAT
25) Prizes and points awarded for all the positions of competitors who tie, will be added together and shared equally.
26) If two or more constructors or drivers finish the season with the same number of points, the higher place in the Championship (in either case) shall be awarded to:
a) the holder of the greatest number of first places
b) if the number of first places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of second places
c) if the number of second places is the same, the holder of the greatest number of third places and so on until a winner emerges
d) if this procedure fails to produce a result, the FIA will nominate the winner according to such criteria as it thinks fit.

I knew I was close. I guess I was right with the first two (I just didn't quite know how to correctly state it). I don't know where I got the third one from, though.

Nice. What criteria could that be?
a. Mosely picks a number from a hat
b. Winner is whichever driver/team has contributed the most to the FIA Foundation;
c. Winner is whichever driver/team has insulted or criticised Mosley or the FIA the least during the season
d. Defer to Bernie
e. Sudden death round at Osterreichring

h. Least amount of protests submitted to the FIA
i. Least amount of whining in the press
j. FIA favoritism of Ferrari (according to many on this BB)
The list is endless. I'm sure we've just scratched the surface.;)

1. If one of the drivers in a points tie is the defending WDC, then that driver retains the title.
2. If none of the drivers in a points tie is the defending WDC, then the driver with the most wins is WDC.
2b. If there is a tie in the number of wins (see 2 above), then the driver scoring the first win is WDC.
Simple...

How about rock scissors paper?
Best pit babes?
They could just repeat the criteria with qualifying, i.e no of pole positions, seconds etc.

Max should throw the decision open to the AtlasF1 BB -
WDC goes to driver adjudged to have the worst car - admit it, the F2002 is a tank...
