Anyone have this game? I was thinking about getting it and branching out a little from GT3. Does it suck?

The game is good, but it doesn't have very good replay value. I'd advise you to rent it before you buy it.

I would advise you to go for CMR 2, it's more realistic and you have to really fight to finish the expert level. Good fun if you ask me!

WRC is more like the Ridge Racer type, dodgy steering response etc...., but if you like that style then go for WRC.

On the other hand, I've heard that if you have the wheel for PS2, the game is quite frantic and fun.

Just wondering, how mutch did you guys have to pay for a PS2 wheel?

Because I have the WRC game, but if it's so mutch better to drive it with a wheel, wll then I'll buy one.

I paid £70 from amazon and I got the Logitech Driving Force. Some people will never be as quick with it as a pad, you might find you're only a couple of tenths slower... but it is definitely more fun....for sure!

I've had this game for about a month or so, and I like it better every time I play it. The cars are fun to drive, and the stages are quite challenging. Plus, you have the authenticity factor with the stages being actual stages used in the WRC. On the downside, you don't have an opportunity to rally through any towns, just out in the middle of nowhere. Plus, the co-driver sometimes doesn't give you info on a corner until you're in the middle of said corner, and occasionally not at all. Also, each rally is a short 5 stages, with a few stages lasting less than 2 minutes.

I play with my old Playstation wheel, and it works just fine.

Overall, I think CMR2 is a better game, but WRC is still very good.

LCA, WRC is a VERY easy game and you WILL be bored of it in one weekend. Rent it finish it and move on :) Do not buy it because you will regret it.

Yeah, I might try to pick it up second hand.

Does it have real rally stages or tracks - whatever they call them in rally? What about cars? Can you take a team through a season and contend for championships? Is there alot of team management aspects to the game? That is what we need more of in these racing games...

Well actually, it's worth it - maybe even a bit more - but it was a bargain as you said...

I think it's still quite good, but as you said it seems a bit too easy.

Yes it has real rally stages.

Umm, yup, it has cars too ;)
Your usual dose of Evo's, WRX's 206's and Focii :)

That's an affirmatory, but the flaw is that it can be won in your sleep !!

Baaahaha, eh, nope. This thing is as arcadey as it comes. Pretty to look at and quite nice to play but damn easy and shallow as hal. No management side to the game. Setting the car up goes as deep as - Gear ratio [Quick acceleration, All-rounder or High Top Speed]. That's it.

Pay as little as possible for it cuz it wont last you long but it is a larf while it's a novelty.

And there's really no need to set up the gears or anything at all. Set up's are just fine out in the box. You'll win the stages if you just manage to keep on the track.

And as always in rallies you won't learn the tracks and you won't learn to like them. You just have to trust your co-pilot - who annoyingly happens to be too slow - to keep on the track.
