For the first time I have a question in this wonderfull forum:

Can anyone help me with results from these races
- Formula 3 (500 cc) 1950 - 1959 (international races)
- Formula Junior 1959 - 1963 (international races, races in Eastern Europe)
- Formula 3 1964 - 1974 (international races, races in Eastern Europe)

Try http://www.formel3register.de/ for starters, you'll find the top 10 finishers of the most important International races. It's a bit cumbersome to find them, though...

I have added a few F3-results, 1967 and 1968 (Pau, Reims, Albi etc) on my F2-page:
http://user.tninet.s...1w/F2_Index.htm

More to come. Some day...

In Eastern Europe Formula Junior and Formula 3 international races were above all for drivers from socialist countries (Cup of Peace and Friendship). The drivers from behind Iron Curtain took part in several events in GDR (Schleiz and Sachsenring) and Czechoslovakia (Brno).

In Poland the first and only race with drivers from Western Europe was held on Magnolia track (a part of motorway) near Szczecin in the end of June 1970.

If you want the results of the French stuff, get the book "Racers 500"

you can get it from www.editions-palmier.fr or I have a few extra copies...

I just checked the F Junior results on this site:

home.wanadoo.nl/the8wteam2/index.html

Noticed it has "Michel May" at Monaco in 1959 and 1960.

His name is Michael May. I met him once and did a detailed technical story with him; a very clever man.

Somewhat obscure race, but as you see not only in Brno or Praha was raced F3 internationally in Czechoslovakia.
But info is far from perfect

Sadly, all the "good" volumes (1920s and 30s) are currently out of print (I could care less about anything after circa 1965), as are their formula junior books (which I don't have as yet)...

Pricey, but worth it, IMO...
