WARNING: Unless you want to see a car smash to pieces in a spectator area and a gearbox/engine unit land on someones head, I would advise you NOT to download this movie.

Unfortunately, one spectator died when hit by debris ( engine ! )
Neither driver was hurt but McNish was shaken up by the events...

I went back and found where I had read about this accident. It's from Christopher Hilton's Inside the Mind of a Grand Prix Driver. Here's what the book had to say about the accident:Originally posted by cheesy poofs
This is a 1990 F3000 accident between McNish( DAMS ) & Emanuele Naspetti ( Jordan ) at Donington. Unfortunately, one spectator died when hit by debris ( engine ! )
Neither driver was hurt but McNish was shaken up by the events...
At Donington on 22 April 1990, Allan McNish was driving in the opening round of the Formula 3000 International Championship. Aged 20, he was one of the outstanding young drivers of his generation and clearly would be within reach of a Formula 1 drive soon. And it all went wrong...McNish was in [a] collision with Emanuele Naspetti [on the fourth lap of the race]. McNish's car was pitched into a series of rolls and -- torn to pieces -- went into a public area by an underpass. A spectator died and two marshals were hurt.
You have said that the going wrong was a convergence of factors. Was Donington one?
"Obviously...because I think, whether anybody likes to admit it or not, that you can get over these things physically quicker than you can get over them mentally. Physically I was fine. Mentally I think it took me quite a specific period..."
Does anybody know what actually happened?
"I can remember everything up to it but I can't remember after that because I was unconscious. I remember a couple of little snippets but nothing at all really, which I think is your brain putting itself on Pause because it doesn't want to remember. When you go racing you know it is dangerous. That's the reason you have insurance. You do know and you do understand, even if you don't like to think about it. You accept that things can happen every time you get in the car. What is not necessarily acceptable from the driver's point of view is that somebody outside of the car can be injured.

This video and others on that site originated from my site at http://tbk.fameflame.dk.
I did have these videos in a special section called "Darkside of Motorsports" and it had several warnings written on that page to prevent certain sensitive users from accidentaly entering the subpages.
My videos are now only available to selected members of my site, anyone found visiting or coming from sites that glorify death has been denied access.
I did not come here to plug my site, i just wanted to make sure that you give credit where credit is due.
I dumped those videos in MPEG myself using my own VHS tapes as source material.
I am fairly sure that most of you do not really care, given the fact that most people despise people like me, who are interested in analyzing motorsport related accidents.
I dont think i have ever enjoyed watching someone get hurt or die, and anyone who does is a sicko.

Why would we despise you? Accidents are part of the sport and worth analysing. and yes, anyone who enjoyes watching people die is a sicko.
