Anybody ever find out who that mysterious Swiss woman was who was listed as the owner of GPD? Hillel Levins book on Delorean raises more questions than answers about his involvement with Colin Chapman and GPD but its 20 years old.

What is GPD: Grand Prix Developments that used to enter the Brabhams, or is it Grand Prix Delorean? If so, was this an attempt to put DeLorean on the grid?

Grand Prix Drivers SA - a company devised by former racing driver-turned-big time Swiss based entrepreneur Jerry Juhan as a conduit through which De Lorean project funding was diverted into hidden accounts for various leading lights in the undertaking, to evade national taxes. Part of the web which enmeshed Colin Chapman once he became convinced that he really could walk on water - that the entrancing life style he saw John DeLorean enjoying should have been his by right - and when he saw the dunderheaded socialist Government of his country pouring benificence into the pockets of a flakey Yank with a plastic cosmetic chin extension implant. Oh, and Brabham cars were the product of Motor Racing Developments Ltd - MRD not GPD.

Interresting. Delorean never did hard time except for a day or two in a holding cell. High priced lawyers got him off on an entrapment defence. Recently he lost an estate to pay fro these lawyers. Roy Nesseth is dead, JZD still alive but did anyone recover teh 17.5 million that was siphoned to GPD from DMC? Maybe its not as complicated as Levins book makes out. Just that you dont wanna go there...
