Has anyone seen a film called "If You’re Not Winning You’re Not Trying"? Apparently it follows the Lotus team through the 1973 GP season.

I just want to know if it's any good before I hand over my £15!

I thought that was 1972.

BUY IT, and see the only known moving pictures of the connew F1 car! :)

I enjoyed this video very much! There's a lot of behind the scenes Chapman pit talk stuff... Get it! :up:

@Barry

It's the 1973 Saison. Moving pictures of the connew? I have to look at the footage again. Where do you (running time?) see it?

On the subject of videos - I have just bought ''Motorfilms Quarterly''. Not sure it needs any more endorsement than it's had here already, but it sure deserves a ''thumbs up''. I only watched some of it as I bought as a gift for my father and passed it on almost straightaway - but it looks wonderful...

I also heartily recommend the Lotus video - excellent stuff.

Thanks everyone. I've just ordered it.

Can't wait to see the 72s at Goodwood next weekend.

Just finished watching Volume 2. Especially liked the "Women Know Your Limits"-esque Austin advert, the 'mobile phone' and interpreters at the Mille Miglia, and the brief footage of numbers being painted on the cars at the latter event. Some achievement, they must have painted thousands of digits with clarity and regularity - and all freehand. Can we get them back in F1?

Well, probably just the one, but I'm not greedy! Especially as it's going to driven by Emerson Fittipaldi!
