For the enthusiasts of French race cars, there is now a book on D.B. by François Jolly (yet known for his works on Delage, Delahaye and the "racers 500") just published by les Editions du Palmier.

Jimmy, two questions.
1) Does Jolly's book on the DB cover also the early DB Citroën?
2) I am not able to find Jolly's book on the Delage 3L. Only found two articles by him on L'Automobiliste, #58 and 59 but they stop with 1939.
Any idea on how to find it?

Alessandro, two answers.
1). Yes, it covers also the Citroen-engined cars & single-seaters.
2). I do not know if Jolly's book on the 3000 Delage is still available. I'll ask him by email.
And one information, if needed :
His book on the Delahayes has been reprinted by the same Editions du Palmier.

Alain Galliard, who actullay has the DB archives, is doing a book, but it is at least a year away...
Arthur Cook, the son of Hobart Cook, who was the US importer, will be racing his 1959 Sebring alum bodied car (not a DBR5) at the LeMans historic race.
I am helping the owner of the 1953 New York auto show Frua bodied coupe, which was Gulf Oil orange with grey seats and orange pipeing around the edges (!
) restore his car.
Now, all we need is a good book on the CDs, Monopoles, and some of the other French "obscuria"

A pity François Jolly was not able to find a picture of a very special F2 DB-Panhard, only mentioning it as "tested in the early '1950s".
It was a twin-engined car with 4WD, one engine at the front and the other one at the rear, probably of 850cc each. It seems to have been tested at Montlhéry circa 1951 by René Bonnet.
I saw little quotes on this car in Autosport & L'Equipe, but no photo.
Does any of you enthusiasts have one somewhere ?

These are from Autosport, november 30 1951. Bonnet is in the second picture, wearing a helmet. Gerard Crombac, who wrote the story, said that the car was tested with 750cc engines, but 2 x 850cc was planned.

Thanks for the pictures! I knew of this car, but have never seen it...
Kind of like a French 4-wheel drive Mini Cooper F1 car
